I am ready to start trying for a baby! Do you think I should just stop BC or go straight to a fertility doctor? I'd like to think that I'll be able to get pregnant with ease but I don't know exactly what happens with our diagnosis once we lose all the weight... Advice please!

Hi everybody, I am about 4 months out and almost 50 lbs down. I adore my husband and enjoy the sex when it does happen, it's just getting there. Please tell me I'm not alone. I don't know what to do or even if I'm doing something wrong. I've been reading that a lot of women's drives are booming... The thing is that usually they also say it was slow PRE surgery. Mine was pretty average before and now it's gone... My guess is that my hormones are off. I will be making a gyno appt. But I'm hoping some veterans can give me some insight on what they have gone through...

Just read something online that says that estrogen is stored in fat cells, which is why your drive can go away with your fat loss...

Hi everyone! Just curious about what everyone is 'up' to since we all have different diet plans based on our docs. I can't lie, I am supposed to be on purée for another week and 3 days, but I've gone off that a little to mushy and very soft. Still doing great on weight loss... down 15 lbs since surgery What about you?

First post op visit! 25lbs since I started all my paperwork in August! 7lbs since surgery I certainly get hungry but Doc says its in my head. When I think about that I think musy be crazy cause I believe I know when my stomach hurts from hunger. Oh well, got a Prilosec rx, we'll see if that helps.

How swollen are your bellies? My family says mines much smaller but I feel more of a pooch than before surgery... Still and I'm 7 days out... Is it just me?

A month!!! Im so sorry! I've gotten confirmation though, the medicine itself burns for a few minutes when injected. Maybe they can change yours to mine, even if it would sting I rather a shorter course of stingy shots....

Are any of you guys on this horrible lovenox shots? I have to have them twice daily for seven days to prevent blood clots..... They hurt soooo much Not the needle but the medicine.... Ugh!

This is a great idea! I was sleeved the 7th... 4 lbs down Hunger issues right now, but apparently that will get better with Prilosec... Happy to know that I'll be thin and healthy sooner than not

Hi all! My name is Neci and I had my sleeve done 02/07/13. When I started the process in 08/12, I was at my heightest weight of 227lbs, at 5'1.5 On the date of surgery, I weighed 209lbs. Today I weigh 205 I cannot say I'm the most optimistic person on planet right now. Got my vitamins yesterday and I am repulsed by the thought of taking those forever. Also my biggest concern and main reason I got on here is this... I was under the impression that the appetite hormone ghrelin would be gone with the 70% of my stomach they removed. I also understood it would come back after about a year, which sucked, but I came to terms with it. BUT.... It is so not gone! I totally get hungry! And with avengance... Like I could eat a house type.... This is soooo upsetting. The thing is that we all know that we can stretch out our tummies, especially with time. So what that means to me is every time I'm starving I'll eat a pinch more and next time a pinch more and so on till I'm back to my original pouch size and I'll have failed. I hate to be negative so early on but that is why I am here... Any supportive thoughts welcomed!

Thank you all sooo much! Feels great to know I'm not alone in these feelings. I will def be going to get some Pepcid and asking about Prilosec during my first post op visit. Also, I am seeing that most people are not on special Bariatric vitamins like the ones I bought for $130, 3 months supply... ???
