taurabird replied to RainbowBrite26's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My doctor said that for the full liquid phase 2 diet you can take soups or chili and put it in the blender or magic bullet and puree it down to a completely liquid fluid consistency. -
Every Disney restauant and counter service has childrens meals that can be bought by adults. Some are really good.

My surgery went off without a hitch yesterday! The NG tube was removed yesterday afternoon and it looks like I will be able to go home later today after they are sure I am tolerating fluids and after they remove the JP drain. I passed the leak test this morning!!!!! -
Hey Juners! I was sleeved yesterday morning!!!! I just passed the leak test and spoke to the doctor, he said the surgery went very smoothly. I have been walking the halls since yesterday afternoon, it really is the "secret" to get rig of the crampy gas pains, then all I am left with is the incisional pain. I am trying to eat some chicken broth right now, it is actually comical.. I take 1 small spoonful and have to burp 3 times...

Before surgery Liquid Diet question...
taurabird replied to devine.adon's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
2 most important things about the preop diet for most of us is to keep your protien high and carbs low. This is to prepare your liver to shrink and to boost your total protein levels so you can bounce back after surgery. So if the diets meet those requirements your doctor should let you know. -
I am doing good so far on the preop diet and I am officially in ketosis. I am working this weekend, off monday and tuesday. Surgery is this wednesday! I am starting to get a sense of calm now.

I am allergic to whey so I am using the Sun Warrior brand of vegan protein powder in the natural flavor so I will be able to add it any kind of liquid as recovery progresses. I just want to let everyone know about a natural cocoa powder called "Cocoavia" that is high in flavanoids. I add this to the powder with 4 oz unsweetened vanilla almond milk, 4 oz "Egg white international" pasteurized egg whites, a little vanilla extract and nectresse sweetener to taste. I really dont care for any of the pre-made powder flavors so this has been a lifesaver for me so far.
