I had surgery with out telling my coworkers or friends that was March 2013. I still have not told them my family know but they try to understand but is hard for them. If you don't want the judgement from others I say only tell who you want. It is your decision & journey and I would be happy to mentor you if you need a friend. Good Luck on your journey

Happy Surgiversary!!! You give us all hope I am 2 years out and have loved every bit of the journey. I was diagnosed with Cancer and it has set me back a bit but I am back on here looking for help and encouragement. You are amazing thanks for sharing

Hello everyone I am a veteran surgery was March 2013 but just back now. I am having trouble with eating urges and need to get back on track. I have lost about 122 lbs but in the last year have gained about 8 lbs back. If that isn't bad enough I have gained the hunger which I have not had. I have had 6 more operations in the last year and chemo I was doing great still losing then after chemo it has been a struggle to lose. My doctor says I am fine and that it will be fine but I know myself..... I actually after all this time get hungry, I hate that!!!! I want to finish my journey and lose another 25 lbs . Anyone else have Cancer after having their sleeve? I need help & support????

I am from the Overland Park KS area looking to find some support. I am waiting insurance approval and feel like I am in limbo right now. Frustrated wanting to get to get this started

Preop was 275 now 268, just over a week out of surgery, have been getting puréed foods for about a week now. Eat only small amount getting about 600 calories maybe???

So happy for you & a bit jealous. How are you doing that I am getting very frustrated. Preop down 14 lbs and now post op since March 11 7 lbs???? What am I doing wrong??? Any suggestions??

Getting very discouraged! My surgery was March 11 and I am only down 7 lbs post op!!! What am I doing wrong?? I bought some unflavored protein powder yesterday and added it to my food to up my protein and scale moved 1 pound today, FINALLY!!! Any suggestions???

I am 56 and am 1 week post op today down 19 lbs since preop diet. A little disappointed only lost 5 pounds the 1st week but excited about week 2 at this point . I take no hormones and never have, went thru menopause at early 40's no problems just glad that stage of life is over!! Lol!!!

This conversation has been really helpful to me. Thanks everyone! I am 6 days post surgery and was afraid I was eating too much. Today I had about 6 Oz protein shake the water later, 8 oz then for lunch 1/2 cup soup, then 8 oz water, the supper 1/4 cup mashed potatoes with a little cheese to add more protein also had a Popsicle for snack says is about 450 calories do far and about 40 grams of protein. Does this sound ok to eat? Just feeling nervous a bout eating!??

I am 2 days post op, going home today. Pain is tolerable today, was much worse than I had been yd would be but the worst is over now!

Thanks so much answering my questions,very helpful. I have a sit down job as well but I work 12 hr nights for 7 straight days then off 7. Hard schedule but I am hopeful I can do it. Lol! Good luck on your journey
