    At Disney... And miserable

I hear you both. All day I'm walking around like please god let me fit on every ride. I've had a few close calls but so far been ok. I can totally relate to not wanting people to see you. I'm embarrassed of myself and don't want my poor husband to be associated with me I'm glad you'll be taking your trip next year. If I wasn't so heavy I'd really be enjoying this trip so much more. I'll be putting on my best attitude tomorrow so hopefully I won't be in as much pain.

    Freaking out

I'm oct 3rd and I'm nervous too. Nervous about being put to sleep, what I'll feel like when I wake up, afraid of pain/nausea. But worst of all I fear doing nothing. I need this surgery to get my quality of life back. So freaking out and all, I'll be there on the 3rd. Hopefully you will find some peace to keep you calm in this tough time, good luck and best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Glad u are doing well! Makes me (as a preop) feel less nervous

    Help!

Yes you can put unflavored protein powder in ur crystal light. I tried it with the fruit punch, it's not bad. Sorry u are having trouble with your shakes. Unjury also makes a protein chicken broth that is pretty good.

  15. Just mixed the unjury unflavored with crystal light fruit punch. Not bad!

    Protein for preop diet

What are your guidelines? Hard to say without that info.
  17. I could've wrote this! I don't know how I'm coping, not well really. I have anxiety normally so this is putting it off the charts. I'm scheduled for 10/3 and I'm freaking out. But the more I read here the better I feel. Lots of people have great outcomes and I want that for me too. We will do ok, I figure as long as the pain meds keep my pain manageable and keep my nausea under control I'll be ok. I'm not quite as worried about the eating part after. I just want to survive the surgery. When is your date?

    Tomorrow is the day!

    Good luck and speedy recovery!

    Nervous about EGD coming up!

Doesn't hurt at all. I too was terrified, all for nothing. Only thing that hurt was the IV. You will do just fine, no worries

    Depression setting in.

I agree, see your dr for help. I suffer from depression and that's no way to live, it sucks. Hope u feel better soon. Just keep reminding yourself this feeling is temporary and you'll get through it with brighter days soon. ((hugs)) feel free to pm me if you want to talk. I'm 1 month pre op so can't really help with the surgery part, just the depression.

    Stress relief?

I have found preparing for the surgery to be a stress reliever-buying vitamins, protein powders, etc. You could get a massage or learn to meditate. Hope it gets better for you soon. I find this whole process very stressful. I'm just waiting on my day, oct 3rd. Hope I don't freak too much at the hospital before the surgery. Going to try to learn that meditation for then
