Welcome and good luck!!! -

I had pureed food from 2-4 but I would rather have stuck to liquids. I did not like pureed at all.
-
Good luck. I did not start pureed until 2 weeks out. I would say stew or chili.

Congratulations!! I look forward to that first flight once I drop 200lbs. I hate asking for the seat belt extender and seeing the look on peoples faces when they see you coming towards them. It was like you read my mind. -
Toothbrush, toothpaste etc..

All I wanted to do the night of surgery was sleep and hit the pain med button. But I would say a laptop or ipad if you have one. Your cell phone and charger. Maybe some magazines or a book.

I was only in the hospital one night. I took a bunch of stuff and really did not use any of it. I had surgery on WED and went home on thursday. If you use a CPAP you do need to bring that with you to the hospital.

I dont know about you but I never last long when doing it to myself. I guess I know what I like!!! I would not worry about until you try it with your wife. Practice is just that. Practice. I was always more of a game player myself. -
Pregnancy after surgery questions
cartmansnj replied to Jacqueline Marie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
A girl I know got pregnant about a year after gastric bypass. She was getting ready to have skin removed she had lost so much weight. She gained all her weight back. The baby was fine. -
I have been doing powerade zero. That has no sugar. G2 is lower in sugar than gatorade but it is still kind of high in sugar.

No whole pills... chewables only?
cartmansnj replied to Bree's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
That is a good question. I am only taking one blood pressure pill right now and I am crushing that. I do take a capsule Dexlatin. I think capsules are ok. I am seeing my surgeon tomorrow and that is one of my questions. Will I ever be able to take a pill without crushing it again. -
The biggest incision is the one they pulled your stomach out of.

Glad to hear this. I get depressed sometimes myself and wonder if I will ever feel normal again. -
I am about 4 weeks out. I usually have about 2 oz of pureed food and get full. I think there was one time where I was able to get 4 oz in.

Does anyone still feels hungry?
cartmansnj replied to sherytuta's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have head hunger but I have not really had any real hunger pangs. -
I showerd a few days after. Just keep your bandages on and dont let water get directly into any of the incisions especially the drain one.
