Absolutely I would do it again. It was the best thing I ever did for myself. I still have a bit more to lose but if I didn't lose another lb. I would do it again. I am 8 months out, lost 80 lbs. no complications at all.

I think you need to do what's best for you. He will adjust to sleeping apart, may not like it, but will accept that is what is best for you.

Has anyone noticed having a sore tailbone since losing weight?I have lost almost 80 lbs after the sleeve and exercise 5x per week. I have had no falls or accidents but I feel like my tailbone is really sensitive. I realize that my butt is much smaller but it's not that small! It feels sore sitting in my car, on the couch, etc. Anyone else have this? What did you do?

Thanks I might have to invest in one.

Any1 scared it wouldnt "work?"
gillengal replied to ForkAndMindy's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was very scared that I would be a failure because I had failed at all other wait loss attempts. I'm 7 months out and as of last week 72 lbs down (80) total. I have a way to go and still worry about keeping it off. If you eat as your doc/nutritionist recommends and exercise it will come off! -
Kinda worried. .. I can eat too much
gillengal replied to Seela's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am about 6 months out and have done well thus far. Today and yesterday I felt like I could really eat more and had urges to eat that I haven't had in a while. It is scary and a reminder to get back on track!! Protein first! -
Btw. Love the boots!

The infamous 3 week stall
gillengal replied to NTL44's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My stall lasted a full two+ weeks. It was frustrating but it broke with a 3+ lb loss. The best thing is to just keep on with the diet your doctor requires. It was so frustrating and upsetting. Hope I can lose a bit more before the next one! -

I need some advice. I lost 18lbs my first 10 days. Since that time I haven't lost anything. I am eating between 300 to 500 calories a day. Not quite getting all my protein in. Usually get about 35 to 50. I am getting all my water in. Ideas? -
1-week stall....REALLY?!
gillengal replied to CorvetteGirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks so much for posting this. My surgery date is 7/25. I lost about 18 lbs the first week. This week gained a couple! I was devastated. I have had trouble getting in my protein but my doctor wanted me to focus on fluids first. Last few days have reached 64 oz water and about 30 G protein ( about 300 calories). Hoping that its a little water and maybe I was a tad bit dehydrated before. -
Sleeved today!!!

Consultation appt has been set, but what if its for nothing?
gillengal replied to LisaDM's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I just tried for approval. 260 and 5'5 with a BMI of 43+. No co morbidity but borderline blood sugar, high cholesterol, hypothyroid. I have documentation of my weight watchers, trials with phentermine, qsymia, and metformin. Got denied due to not enough medical involvement and too little weight loss success. Why would I apply for this surgery if other efforts worked. I have lost some weight and kept it off but apparently not enough. I had lots of difficulty with the insurance coordinator as well. Not sure what to do I guess I understand your concerns and could use some advice as well. -
So tired of the artificial flavors/sweetners/water additives

New to this site and just hoping to be sleeved (paperwork in to doctor and waiting for them to submit to insurance), but I have an idea for you. If you like tea and mon try tea with some Trop 50 lemonade splashed in. Makes a great low cal Arnold Palmer. I love them. Please know its just an idea and not sure if it meets requirements post sleeve. -
Hello all, I am new to the forum. Beginning process for insurance approval. Any tips? I have BC BS.
