Hang in there you're doing great!! Today is my first day of puréed. I was told I could have scrambled eggs, which I tried but I couldn't get more than 4 bites and now I'm feeling some kind of way I can't describe. Lol. I think I will stick to yogurt, baby good bananas and anything else MASHED or puréed!!

OMG SO GLAD IM NOT THE ONLY ONE. SEEMS ALL I CAN THINK ABOUT IS FOOD. I KNOW IT WILL GET BETTER BUT I HOPE IT DOES SOON!! I HATE WATCHING TV BECAUSE IT SEEMS THE ONLY THING ON ARE FOOD COMMERCIALS!!

HELLO NATTNAT22!! How are you? I'm doing considerably well!! I was discharged the next day and so far all has gone well!! I haven't had to use any pain meds in the hospital or home!! I would say the worst part has been the gas but its sooooo much better!! Walking alot has helped so much. I just went for my first week exam and am down 12 lbs. that was exciting for me. For my 3 day post op exam I lost 6 so in a week it's been a total of 18 lbs. oh and I'm so happy to be sleeping on my side. LOL HOPE ALL ARE DOING WELL!! SORRY FIR MY ABSENCE BEEN TRYING TO CATCH UP ON MUCH NEEDED SLEEP!!

SORRY MEANT TO SAY: I'VE PUT HOT COMPRESS ON MY RIGHT SHOULDER WHICH IS WHERE I FEEL IT CONSTANTLY!! That helped some!!

Just make sure you have some Chapstick and WALK WALK WALK WALK!! You will be fine!!

Yes I was sleeved on aug 1 and it was not bad at all!! I didn't have to use the pain meds once and still haven't!! It's just the gas pain that are the worst. Walking does help A LOT!! Also I've out hit compress on my right shoulder which is where I feel it constant!! HOPE AND PRAY EVERYONE ELSE IS DOING GREAT!!

Out of surgery and all went well so far!! I'm feeling pretty good just tired. Oh and thirsty. Lol. They won't give me anything until tomorrow. My doctor did find a hernia which he also repaired!! I THANK GOD FOR BEING WITH ME AND ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!! Will keep you updated!!

THERE IS ALWAYS SOME RISK IN ANY SURGERY BUT YOU'RE GOING TO BE FINE!! TRUST IN GOD AND YOUR DOCTORS THAT EVERYTHING IS GOING TO COME OUT FINE!! DON'T STRESS YOURSELF OUT. ONCE IT'S OVER THE JOURNEY TO THIS NEW LIFE YOU'VE BEEN GIVEN SHALL BEGIN!! I WILL BE PRAYING FOR YOU NATYNAT22!! YOU GOT THIS GIRL!!

I know what you mean. I was just venting on another thread how hungry I am. I too am scheduled for aug 1. Someone stated I need to get used to it or cancel the surgery. I will NOT cancel the surgery. WE CAN DO THIS. WE HAVE TO DO THIS!!

Yes I can but its not helping. I've tried everything and I literally think I'm losing my mind.

OMG ME TOO!! I was expressing to my daughter that I felt I was torturing myself by doing this when in reality it will save my life. I know I can try dieting again and lose a few pounds but guess what? It's just gonna come back on and then some. So I know this is the right decision. And like you I get excited at the prospect of how healthy and good I'm gonna feel and I know it will all be worth it!! It is normal!! I don't think anyone here has ever not double guessed themselves on this type of decision and felt nervous especially as the date approaches. PRAYERS FOR YOU ALL!!

Exactly, no one gets it but us!! This was not an overnight decision. This took research and planning and it's a forever process!! Some just DONT get it. That's why I chose not to tell anyone!! Just my daughter!! I don't have time to listen to negativity from anyone. I've done a good job of the negative talk to myself. And I too am thankful we have this amazing forum to vent and encourage one another Don't pay any attention to anyone but YOURSELF!! NO ONE KNOWS YOU BETTER THAN YOU AND ALL THAT YOU'VE GONE THROUGH. This, I'm sure hasn't been an easy decision but we know its the right one!! We have a few days to start again!! No looking back!!

I started the liquid diet today and having surgery on Aug 1 to then continue the liquid diet for 10 days. OMG, I don't know how I'm going to make it. My head hurts I'm cranky!! I'm miserable and it's only been half a day!! Anybody have tips that helped them?
