Wish I was where you all are. sniff, sniff. I am still in the dreaming stage. LOL Unless insurance comes through this week I will have to wait until my actual date in April. Can we say anxious lady here? I have to admit however, that I am not looking forward to the liquid diet portion, but I know it is a must. can't wait to follow y'all's transformations. Kriss

March 5th is the big day! Anyone else?
krissj replied to sleevemeplano's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Mine could be March 5th. I will know by the end of this week. Otherwise I am scheduled for April 16th. I would rather do the 5th so am keeping fingers crossed that insurance gives me the high sign by the end of the week. Good luck everybody. -
Right now I am April 16th, but may be moved up to the first of March. Will know for sure this week. I would be so excited to do it next month, but will just have to see what happens. Either way, I am excited and can't wait to have this dont. Glad to meet you both.

First day of pre-op diet
krissj replied to Zanygirl83's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am going to be starting my pre-op diet soon and I am super nervous, but what I keep thinking about is what the end result is going to be. I know it is going to be hard to adjust at first, but I am trying to get my mind set in the right place before hand to make it easier. I really appreciate everyone's comments here. Seeing what others go through is really going to help me a lot. -
Before And After Gastric Sleeve Surgery Photos
krissj replied to StacyS's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I just have to say that everyone in this thread is amazing. I am getting sleeved soon and being ehre reading all these success stories are so encouraging to me. I take in all the advice and hints so that my loss will be successful post-op. I do have one question for those of you that have done so great.......what do you do to prefent all the gastly sagging skin? Is there a secret to help avoid it after surgery? I feel it is inevitible and I think God I have an awesome husband, but sure would like to not have to go through an additional surgery when all is said and done if there is something I can do to keep it from being so horrible. I expect some, but if I can help I want to do it with dedication. Another problem I have is I am 61 so that doesn't help I am sure, but I love to work out. After winning Atlanta's Biggest Loser in 2010 I learned how to work out effectively so I am not afraid of work. I weighed 269 when I started that competition and lost to 235. It was awesome, but I have gained 15 back since then, hense decided it is time to take drastic measures with the sleeve. Any helps and hints are an added bonus to me. Kriss -
1wk until I start my liquid diet!
krissj replied to shakur154's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi Ladies, Although my surgery isn't until April, it may be moved up a month. Will know in a week or so. Anyway, I am too scared to pig out prior to going in the liquid diet. This is a personal thing, but I am thinking that if I pig out prior it is going to be harder to give up. I struggle with several food adictions or trigger foods and I don't want that when I start the liquid. In fact, I did a liquid test a couple days ago and it was okay. Anxious to hear how you gals do.
