Tips to fight off craving and over eating needed
pottergirl replied to Zen's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
last night i took half a banana, 2 T of p b 2, 1cup of 1 percent milk..i use over the moon brand has high calcium and protein....11 g p cup.......it's a delicious banana milkshake with 16 g of protein without that too sweet cloying protein shake taste and i also add 1 T real maple syrup for added sweetness. it's about 225 healthy calories and i make it thick with ice and eat it with a spoon. or, for just 45calories i east 2 T of p b 2 with a baby spoon....it takes a while to eat and it good that evening craving to snack. -

"Eating-too-fast syndrome".... anyone else?
pottergirl replied to racoon_439's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
i am 12 weeks out, never had a case of the foamies till last night. i was multitasking which is fine if you can concentrate and not wolf your own food down. i was trying to throw together food for some major members of my householdhousehold and first i munched on some roasted kale.....and then i Very quickly ate5 slices of meat sub. deli meat. i had the last bite in my mouth and felt the warning signs, should have spit it out but i swallowed it. for one hour horrible pain in my stomach and chest, then i burping....with each burp the taste of kale...gross....then i kept burping and i could feel it at top of my throat..then a mouth full of foam. happened for the next 10 minutes. big mouthfuls of foam. my stomach began to feel better slowly...then the hiccups. not nice . gonna try to slow down! -
i am so sorry, how disappointing for you. have you been assigned a new date yet? chin up

i think everyone is right.....meat sounds like its just too much for you right now. chili is the best......it's moist and the meat is broken down...you can also experiment with different kinds of meat in your chili. Yes! i ate alot of ricotta cheese bakes one month post op! refried beans with salsa and cheese cheese....i still eat chili almost daily at about 3 months post op.'
