Sorry if anyone is offended by my nude one but I wanted you to see how it was. That was about 2 or 3 weeks later.

Sorry for taking so long. I didn't have any problems with the surgery. I thought it would be really painful but it wasn't. I work in a huge kitchen so I took extra time off. I didn't want to take the chance of opening anything up. My only regret is I didn't tell him soon enough and he didn't have time to do my neck. Now I'm going back for that and get my eyelids done.

Hi all. I live in Red Deer. I had my VGS March 18 2013. I started out at 200lbs the day I had my surgery. I am also 5' tall. I was down to 135-138 lbs by Sept. I stayed at that weight for the next 5 months. I went to Mexico to Dr Almanza for my sleeve. I then went to see a surgeon for the excess skin removal. His name is Dr Sauceda who is also in Mexico. I had. Lower body lift breast lift with implants, long thigh lift and arm lift. I couldn't believe that in less then. Year I could have my dreams come true. Good luck to each and everyone of you on this in redo le journey.

Any suggested surgeons for BA/LIFT in Mexico?
Miss Bean replied to HeatherSchwartz's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I too used Dr Sauceda on Cowgirl Janes recommendation. I am 4 months post op and am doing great. I'm going back to see him in the fall for a neck lift and upper eyes to be done. Everything there was much better than if I had it done at home in Canada. Go to obesityhelp.com and look up Dr S and there will be a ton of helpful information. Good luck with whom ever you choose. The next step of your journey. -

I agree with Cowgirl Jane. I used the same Dt and couldn't have asked for more. He's brilliant. -
Plastic surgery in mexico?
Miss Bean replied to spiritedcowgirl63's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I went to Dr Sauceda also. I am so pleased with my results and they say things are not the end result until 6-12 months. Research all over to get the one you are comfortable with. I will be seeing Dr Sauceda again. I want some neck work done and maybe eyes. -
Thanks again Cowgirl Jane. And I was suppose to have a small thigh lift but I ended up with a large one once he saw me. Everyday is a new day and never know what to expect.

Truer words were never spoken. I to am On the other side if my journey. I had my plastic surgery the 21 Feb. I had wonderful Dr. Sauceda in Mexico. I had large thigh lift, lower body lift, breast lift with implants, and arm lift. It is almost 3 months already. Things are almost back to normal and I'm so happy for it. The six weeks sitting was torture and the garments weren't much fun. The end results are amazing. Not perfect but oh so much better. I can not express the gratitude I have for each and every post in have read on these sites. A special thanks to Cowgirl Jane as she was the one who led me to the good Dr. I wish all of you happiness along your journey.

Mommy Makeover in Tiajuana by Dr.Maclovio Yanez
Miss Bean replied to J.Cross's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I had my VGS in Tijuana but am going to Monterry for plastics. I am not having it done until 20 Feb but just keep reading and researching to make sure I am getting it right. I took the advice if a few and cowgirl Jane and am having it all done at once like she did. I don't know if I could keep going over and over again like lots if them want. And yes even with flights it is much cheaper going to Mexico. I'll let you all know how I make out when it's my turn. Until then all if you who are just having it done it going before me all the best to you all. -
Alberta girl seeking advice
Miss Bean replied to MouseOnTheMile's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I has my surgery in March if this year in Tijuana Mexico. We didn't have to bring one or even use one. I didn't see anyone who had them. I live in Alberta and I would have never even been considered for this surgery here as I had to loose less than 100lbs. I am at my goal already. I am so happy I has this surgery because it changed so many things for me and the weight is just a bonus. I am now getting ready fir my new adventure in February. I am going to Monterrey Mexico for my cosmetic surgery it get rid of all the loose skin. I can't wait for that day to come. All the best to you. You should have had your surgery today and u wish you all the best and a speedy recovery. -

How are the march 2013 sleevers doing?
Miss Bean replied to Kitkat101484's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
March 18th. 200 starting weight. I am at my drs goal. 135lbs. Now I am looking for recommendations for plastic surgery in Mexico. Hope all you are doing good and their journeys are all they hoped for. -
I also had my surgery the 18th March. I am down 55lbs but don't consider myself as a slow loser. I started at 200lbs and my doctor is very happy with my results. He told me that he would like me to stay at my present weight but if I was going to loose more he didn't want me to loose more than 10lbs. I really want to loose another 20lbs. I'll see what happens over the next few weeks. Great job all of you.

1 week til surgery! Anyone 200 starting weight?
Miss Bean replied to hopingtolose2013's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was 200lbs day if surgery. I had my surgery on the 18 March. I am 5' tall. Yesterday was 15 weeks. I'm down 51lbs. And yes everyone is different. I lost 24 lbs the first 2 weeks and then gained 2lbs. Then sat for two weeks doing nothing. Hope all goes good for you. I still don't eat a lot. My typical day is a protein shake for breakfast, a yogurt for lunch, then a couple of tsp of coleslaw and a small piece of meat at supper. Before I go to bed or in the evening I have a little snack. -
Congratulations on your acheivements. That's a big deal. You can do it to get to your goal. I had my surgery the same day.

Who knew this sleeve could do so much
Miss Bean posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had my VSG on the 18th March 13. When I started my journey I was 200lbs and in size 16W. For some if you that may not seem all that big but I am only 5 feet tall. That doesn't leave much room to carry around extra weight. I had high blood pressure, taking 2 alieve a day for joint pain and thought I had to have a bladder repair as I dribbled every time I laughed, coughed, lifted anything heavy. That was a lot as I am a cook and work in an institutional kitchen feeding 1500 plus people a meal. Since my surgery almost 19 weeks ago I have lost 44lbs( my official weigh in is tomorrow) and just bought size 10 pants. I donor take medication for the things above and best if all no more poise pads. This makes me so happy. I am over half way to my goal. I have 31lbs to go. This is a real blessing in disguise. Who knew this sleeve could do so much
Miss Bean replied to Miss Bean's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I work in a camp in northern Alberta, Canada. I am there three weeks and home 1 week. I wear a uniform in the kitchen every day so I buy very few clothes. I went from a 16W to a 14 and now a 10. Thank goodness for costco and cheap clothes. I only buy 1 pair until the next size. Sent from my iPhone using VST -

How are the march 2013 sleevers doing?
Miss Bean replied to Kitkat101484's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was 12 weeks out on Monday. Surgery date 18 March. Surgery weight 200lbs. Mondays weight 156lbs. So I'm down 44lbs and 31lbs more to goal. Sent from my iPhone using VST -
Don't wait to long without going for a bm. I know from experience it can cause you a lot of pain. If I don't go in two days I take something. Last month I lost 5lbs once I finally went and it took me a couple days to finally get rid of all of it. The stool can become impacted and then there's trouble. Good luck girls. How much weight did you lose in the first two weeks post-op?
Miss Bean replied to CocoCocoon's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was very lucky I lost 24lbs the first week and a half. Then I gained 2 lbs and stayed there for the remainder of the 2 weeks. I am 8 weeks post op and am down 40lbs. I followed the rules really close and some of it was a fluke as I didn't read the rules close enough. Good luck to you on your journey. Sent from my iPhone using VST -
Please someone help me!
Miss Bean replied to ploveda1's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have been taking synthesis since 1995. You would be amazed what that little thyroid gland does to your body if it doesn't work properly and you aren't on medication. Please do some research as to why you are being out in synthesis. No it won't make you gain weight it's quite the opposite. It Amy make it much easier to loose weight with the meds and you new pouch. Good luck. Sent from my iPhone using VST
