I just ordered some bariatric fusion vitamins and some protein shakes. If you follow this link you'll get $20 for your first order! https://www.bariatricchoice.com/rewardsref/index/refer/id/105631/ IT says $10 but you actually get $20 right now. SHIPFREE48 is the code for free shipping. I don't know how long it lasts though.

It shouldn't ask for an email as my referral code will already be in the box when you register. Maybe it was asking for your email? I've had several people use it without needing an email.

Is there anyone in NKC that wants to start a support group with me? The drive for the other one is too much for me -
vitamins and protein drinks coupon

Hi everyone. I have a referral code for bariatric vitamins and protein drinks/shakes. Right now you can save $20 off $30 or more instead of just $10 and with FREESHIP48 you can get free shipping. I'm not sure how long these will last. I just got a good deal and wanted to pass it on! Are there any protein shakes on here you would recommend or recommend to stay away from? I know everyone differs but just want opinions. https://www.bariatricchoice.com/rewardsref/index/refer/id/105631/ -
Help me compile list of questions for first appt!
laceymm888 posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My first appt is 3/4. What questions did you ask or wish you would have asked? Help me prepare a list! Thanks What kind of Vitamins do I need to be on after surgery? What is your pre-op diet/routine? What kind of follow up care do you offer? How long after surgery will I have access to the nutritionist? Is there an administrative fee I will have to pay out of pocket? When is that due? Do you release some or any gas after surgery? How long do you recommend I be out of work? What/how long are lifting restrictions? How often is my blood taken and tested for deficiencies? Can you take my gall bladder out based on my past problems with it? -

I have my first appt with this practice on 3/4. What can I expect at my first appt? Do they schedule all your nutrition appts/psych eval/ everything at the first appt? So excited! -
I go in for a seminar on Feb 11 and will hear back from a counselor to set up an appt after that to meet with the dr. I have a friend I work with that had lap band done a few years ago and he said he had to meet with a nutrition and exercise specialist for like 3 months before he got approval. But I saw on here someone else with aetna got approval in like 3 days! Does it not work the same with every plan? I'm anxious to see what the dr says and how long it takes to get approval. If you have aetna, what has your experience been like?

You might want to check with your insurance because mine specifically says it has to have significant face to face time. -
Go into this with your eyes WIDE open

Thank you for this. I think that with all the awesome results you see from people on here it's "easy" to forget that this is in fact a life changing surgery! It's SURGERY! There are hundreds of things that could go wrong at any time for any reason. It's nice to have a reality check every once in a while. I hope that someday you will not regret your decision and that you continue to lose with no more complications. Good luck! -
I've told a few people but as the process goes along I plan on telling everyone! I'm even thinking about starting a blog. I figure if I can help someone else then great. I'm not worried about negative comments. I'm going to tell everyone from the beginning if they have any negative feelings/comments then they can keep them to themselves. I'm happy with my decision and am proud of myself for making the choice to change my life.

Those of you who have already had surgery.... do you have any regrets? Anything you wish you would have done before surgery? Do you regret getting the surgery? What about afterward? Also, did you tell people beforehand that you were getting it done? I've told my closest family and a few friends and for the most part everyone is very supportive. I'm not really concerned with those who may not be supportive because it is MY body and MY decision. But if you had people that were not supportive, how did you deal with it? THANKS!!!

In Dec 2010 I was having issues with my gall bladder and had a scan done and it showed that it was borderline failing. We decided not to do surgery then and to wait and see if it got worse. I got pregnant with my son later that month and didn't have any issues after that. My insurance doesn't require a gall bladder scan before surgery but it does say in the WLS bulletin on the website that they do consider gall bladder removal medically necessary in conjunction with WLS and will cover it. Obviously I will talk it over with my dr (haven't had first appt yet) but did any of you have your gall bladder removed at the same time? Does it affect recovery at all?

I know that everyone will react to surgery and have different recoveries, but for those who had csections and have had VSG, how did recovery compare (in terms of pain and such, obviously I know eating will be different!)? I had a fairly easy recovery from my csection despite being on bed rest 4 weeks prior to delivery and developing preeclampsia which caused major swelling. I'm hoping that recovery from this will be just as "easy"!

Baby Food During Pureed Stage?
laceymm888 replied to Khloé's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If you don't want to deal with making it post surgery, make it before and freeze it! Then you can just thaw it out when you want to eat it. Easy. And you could probably make all you'd need within a couple hours in one day! -

Hi everyone! My name is Lacey and I'm going to the seminar at kc bariatric with Dr hoehn on Monday Feb 11. I'm excited to get the process started! I live in parkville. Anyone else north of the river? -
Hi, my name is Lacey. I'm 25 years old and am beginning the process to get sleeved! I have at least 110 pounds I want to lose. Currently I weigh 270 and am 5'5''. I am married and have a 17 month old son. Fortunately my family is mostly supportive of my decision. They are a little worried but ultimately stand behind what I want to do. I am attending a seminar on Monday Feb 11 and will hear from a counselor about setting up my consult after that. I'm excited and nervous but ready to change my life!
