5 months out, hungry and eating more- help?
sarahp_newme replied to sramos89's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sounds like you need more protein/ up your calories every so often to continue with fueling your body you need to actually up your calories. How much are you taking in caloric wise and protein wise? -
Dont be embarassed i was the same way. The left side is where the largest incision was and its where the stomach itself came out so there was more damage to the one site. There are sutures actually tied to the muscle wall so that it can heal faster and stronger. The left side is also where your new pouch is so sometimes when you bend or move a certain way another organ can hit the pouch and send that pain. It will go away within the next week lol good luck

mmmm bbq sauce. oh the recipes i have lol i use it on everything. You dont no what its going to do till you try. You dont have to drench your food in it but put enough on to give it some flavor and satisfy you. Next time you go into the store just look at the back of the labels and see which one fits what your trying to do or if anything else make your own that way you came make it healthier

Nut up'd my calories/workout questions
sarahp_newme posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I work out pretty much 5 days a week and weight train 2-3 times but im not lossing weight as fast as i would like, im actually losing very slowly if at all....so my nut. up'd my calories from 600 to 900 to see if that would help. So my questions is do i still need to take in 900 a day if i dont workout? sat and sun are usually family days and i dont want to take in that many but i dont want to keep jumping back and forth and really screw with my body. -

sarahp_newme replied to Susie1226's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Lol i no the fast food places can be hard but once you get to the solids part of all this and you are able to eat good things and feel lighter and healthier youll be DISGUSTED by fast food. Thats just me though. Time really does fly by after the first week. Your doing great and keep it up!!! Im 2 months out and have lost close to 40 pounds!! Good luck and congrats -
HELP! I need a good excuse!
sarahp_newme replied to conshy416's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree with all of the above. I think if your as good friends you say you are i think it would be really f** up to blow a "sister" off like that. No one said you had to go to the reception and "torture" yourself with food and dancing, but why not atleast go to the ceremony!! i mean seriously youll be sitting down the hole time just take a bottle of water. Im sorry i would do anything for my friends and at 2 weeks youll be fine and feeling NORMAL so if you cant even make the attempt to go to the ceremony and show support and love than you dont deserve a friend like her im sorry thats so blunt but its true your just looking for an EXCUSE and thats just sad and wrong -
have you tried up'ing your protein to get those calories in?

For the LADIES Only Please...
sarahp_newme replied to petra1124's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
lol its natural to feel that way, dont be embarrassed. I haven't noticed any changes down there, but Ive had 2 kids so i might not be the best person to give that type of advice haha but before and after surgery i have not noticed any difference and neither has my husband sorry tmi. I think if someone can have kids and it shrink back to "normal" im sure that with weight loss over time it will be ok. -
