What's the average weekly weight loss?
Arts137 replied to Eleni95's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't believe there is any such thing (well, mathmatically maybe). While I drop from 0 to 4 pounds, since I am in this forever, slow or fast, as long as the trend line is down, I'm OK. I only weigh 1x a week, because the scale drives me crazy. -
Favorite Unflavored Protein Powder?
Arts137 replied to troopersma's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
UNJURY! mixes well, no smell or taste at all (to me). DON't put it in things hotter than 140 degrees or the protein will coagulate (yuch... from experience) -

Likely just soreness, BUT if you get a fever call the surgeon ASAP, and if it hurts for longer than it "should", call your PCP... -
I agree with Misty. I had the itchies in hospital, and knew it was the pain Rx, (but I DID like that pain Rx). But it went away. It does sound like a reaction to food or medicine or suppliment...

Why hasn't such a lovely lady been dating? I've been busy. Later you can go into details, but often we guys can handle the abbridged version as a start...

I hope this forum is helpful when I have my surgery

Cliques? Well I've never met or talked to or seen (as far as I know) anyone here, but I do look to the wisdom of those (1) longer out and (2) successful at weight loss and maintainence. I think these are some "Consistent Realities" from them: -- as bad as your post op situation is, it Will get better -- follow your plan -- when something sounds unusual or "bad", check with your doctor, -- follow your plan, -- after your sleeve is "for life", there will be changes in your relationship to food, water, vitamins, and activity, and, -- follow your plan -
Explore options till you find one you can deal with. All reputible dealers have sample packs!

Yep Tylenol. All NSAIDS (Cox 2 inhibitors) ALSO have a nedagive impact on your tummy, so (generally) avoid them. Later, talk with your MD if you feel it's the ONLY good paon relief for you!

We have ALL been where you are, and we will try to share our experience. But listen, it's NOT "my" plan, it's your doctor's (and YOUR) plan. Don't look for ways around your plan. Just follow your plan!!! (Some don't lose and some gain back and I don't want me (or you) to be in that group!!! -
very informative, thanks!!!!!

Let the hospital staff know. Enjoy the good drugs they give you Walk, walk, walk, and walk. -
Your body is adjusting. There are a LOT of threads on 'stalls', so it's common. Two ideas. Measure your inches, they may drop as your poundage seems to set unmoving. AND stay away from the scales for a while... weigh maybe only once a week. Hope this helps!

Looking for a sleeve buddy
Arts137 replied to Ljones1's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Some have nausea, some not so much. Let folks know (I assume you are in the hospital) since you DO NOT want to get dehydrated! It WILL get better... -
stall and weight gain?!
Arts137 replied to Onesassychick79's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
relax, you have your new stomach for the rest of your life, so you are in this for the rest of your life. Please don't 'torture yourself', that just lets your mind play games... Water, hormones, body changes, all make for short term strangeness, but in the end, evey month you will be lighter and smaller... -
Stimach virus 7 weeks post op
Arts137 replied to heatwhip's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
No difference to pre-sleeve. Won't 'hurt' the sleeve, but don'y be shy about discussing with your primary care physician (PCP)
