I'm sick and tired, I'm not pregant!
Arts137 replied to ReadyNewM3's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
hang in there... Most men know to NOT ask if someone is preggo unless they actually see the baby's head... -
"so that we'd have something to talk about."

Bwa Ha Ha! Super good! -
Cream soups are OK on "full liquids", but not on "clear liquids". I just used condensed soups...

This is me day after surgery and after
Arts137 replied to cindy74's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Beautiful! I bet you lose just as fast as your body will let you lose! -
You'll get routine 'post-bariatric' blood work, so your team will make sure all the labs are OK. A lot of folks talk about moods and emotions right after getting the sleeve. Snoop around the threads! And I weigh once a week. NO MORE. The scale will make you crazier than you are anyway!

Looking for a sleeve buddy
Arts137 replied to Ljones1's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
He was great (all three in the group are). PMRI staff were great, surgery at Christiana and all staff on 7E were super. I have no complaints and I am a happy camper!!! -
Isn't 6 weeks kind of early for a stall? Stuck at 157...
Arts137 replied to marfar7's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, be zen-like! Control is great but (in my case) when I get my control 'frustrated' I give up, and I don't want to do that! -
tell us more about this?

relax and follow your program... it will work, though you don't get to decide how fast... -
Taking it all in :)
Arts137 replied to Skinnyminiwannab's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That's the best start. Consider "The Big Book of the Gastric Sleeve", ask any questions, start to ween away from caffine and carbonation, and try to start a sensible diet! -
Hang in there, this too shall pass!
-
yep, it'll be fixed with the sleeve!
-
We'', that'll help your head put food in its place!!! Just focus on getting in the liquid and protein (like it or not).

how long did it take to get off bp meds
Arts137 replied to angry's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
remember, even very skinny folks can have HBP, so just go through and see... I use Unjury vitamine products. -
Unsure from your description. Have hope, it does improve, day by day...
-
Yep this happens. You have gone "cold turkey" so "when you find yourself in hell... keep going". I slowly cut down by adding more and more decaf, and thankfully never got the BAD withdrawal symptoms. GOOD LUCK!

I am very lucky that my NUT has some sense and practices what she preaches!

craving for snacks late at nite
Arts137 replied to fancy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
After dinner, NO food for me. I go to sleep before I snack. -
Going on a cruise..how to track food w/o fitness pal?
Arts137 replied to bashmom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
you could always use paper and pen to write it down and stroke tally the liquids (if you want). -
Talk to your NUT, I bet he/she would agree with you...
-
Likely because it is not a "complete" meal replacement (like Optifast is). We mostly supplement with protein, it's not our entire 'Magilla'. Please check with other sources for the quality of the protein. AND I AM NO EXPERT. I do use Unjury, mostly because my NUT recommended it!

And consider working with Alex on the next edition of "The Big Book of the Gastric Sleeve". -
