    GUILTY

While I tend to be one of those "follow the program" fellows, and I hope I am. It's over & done with. Get back on the horse and ride. And get your head "in the game".

    clearance

You CAN do all the fun and family stuff and have as much fun as ever. You CAN do it without food and drink being the lead actor in the play!

    Invisible Weight Loss

They might not notice... They might notice but are afraid to say anything... No worries, you do this for you. Me, I have the opposite problem. I've lost 80+ pounds and I still seem to look the same to me despite what others say...

    Meeting Surgeon

twice... saw a bazillion other specialists, but him twice. This is fine with me. He's just the cutter, the REST of the team I need to deal with on a more personal (and less scalpel and scissors) basis...

    MARC ZARE PEOPLE UNITE :D

mentally preparing mentally preparing mentally preparing That's the name of this tune! The prep stage is to start to make the changes that you'll need after the sleeve. It's easier (for some? most?) to "ease in" rather than hit a date and SLAM on the changes... ...stop smoking, ...cut out carbonated drinks, ... reduce caffine, coffee, ...stop grazing at every WaWa (7-11), ... increase activities... and "food funerals" are just your mind being a devil... Went to an early prep meeting last Januaryand was soooo sad that I just could not eat anything I wanted any time I wanted to... so I got over myself and started with the changes I HAD to make and by June's surgery I was well prepared, and determined. I am still determined because MY mind is a devil of a devil ... And you know what??? Being in control is pretty damned cool.

    bad pain

Yep, time to see your MD... This is not common, and it might not (or it might) be related to the sleeve surgery??

    Liquids.. eeewww.. lol..

As hard as it is, follow your doctor's plan as best you can! Remember that you are also working on your head, and you do not want to teach your head that 'just a little exception is OK'. At least my mind would take over if I gave it a chance!
  12. Kinda. I met him at the start, & he passed me off to a group that did the counseling and prep stuff. Then met him a couple weeks before surgery to get the instructions. Just smile and press on!

    Sad NSV

tie 'em on with bailer twine and rock on... I admit that I have some work slacks that I can swim in and still wear. I hoide the size (as best I can) with a sports jacket. Just don't want to waste a lot of cash on "interim wear"... but I know I'll have to soon!
  16. Take the good news when and where you can!
  17. I don't think they'll take the GB out without a reason (a gall bladder / gall stone 'attack). But, it IS common with fast weight loss, so go figure...
  18. My friend, all the above are good advice. I worry that the REAL danger of a stall, is to cause your head to give up, and then THAT would be a problem. WE ALL go through times of no loss., followed by a good loss. Just follow your program!!! DO NOT GIVE UP! I see you are from Syria. I pray that you, all your family and friends, and ALL the people of Syria can remain safe in this terrible time.
  19. I had one repaired and left the hospital on a pureed diet. The programs are SO different, but FOLLOW YOURS!!

    Pain

Oh this is a wild group tonight... The stick is the bougie, Ms. Salt, used to "size" the sleeve. But they take it out before they end the surgery, And I had discomfort, no real pain, and the hospital drugs were superb!

    Cant sleep// scared

Good. Scared is normal. The vast majority have no complications. And, love, it IS forever.
  22. everyone is different. I lost a lot preop, yet had no loss for 2 weeks post surgery. I average a 1 to 3 # loss a week now. I just "keep on keepin' on", it'll all work out!
  23. Arts137

    weird question

You can shower right after surgery and can swim when the incisions heal over (about 2 weeks if all goes well). Nothing is stupid here. Only advice is not to "expect" any particular weight loss in any timeframe. Everyone is different! Your insurance will "control" the timeframe. Doing all my preps took 5 and 1/2 months. Many 6, some 12. -- those are months before surgery. BUT you CAN lose weight while you prepare, of course! And remember the sleeve is FOREVER, so in the worst case, if not THIS summer, shoot for the next!!!
  24. yep, 64 oz is a good goal...
  25. I seem to have greater success by tracking, SO I track! BUT I also generally eat (mostly) the same every day so I can track it easily, and I stroke tally liquid. Easy Peezie.
