    This Is Ridiculous!

Do the best you can. Learn as much as you can. Start curring out the "no-nos", smoking, carbonated drinks, caffine. Start practicing keeping records and eating focused on Proteins and veggies. Don't worry on losing weight. Work on following a plan and getting in control of the "fat brain"
  2. From Laura Ven: "THIS IS MAJOR SURGEY and should be the last resort after all avenues have been exhausted. There are risks but if you are fat enough those risks are outweighed by the benefits..." When asked I answer any questions that I can, refer 'em to this board, and remind them to consider EVERYTHING else before major (and permanent) surgery. I do not advocate, but I do support. THANKS for the post!!!
  3. Carbonated drinks not on the program so I stopped pre-sleeve and have not had any. Surprisingly, I do NOT miss them.

    Marriage Problems 2 Mo. Out

Don't disagree, and since it took me THREE times to find someone to STAY in love with how could I. BUT... now is not the time. Your mind is in a fragile state and you do not - cannot - make clear decisions now. And no matter what get counseling for yourself... first.

Darling dear, our lives and weight loss may be complicated by (in my case at least) ages, I I still have a lotta life in me. So do you. And thinner will help. What do do with our freakin fat brains is another freakin matter. Pleople say "man you look good", rather than say thanks, I often say, well, I see myself naked...

    1 Week Post Op

Why DON'T you get to celebrate? Have a great time with your family and friends, and think about this: Food does not need to be the center of attention -- the reason for every celebration!

I want EVERYTHING all the time... Luckily, wanting is very low calorie. But if there is an add on TV, then that restaurant is OFF LIMITS to me. Taco Bell is out (for me)

How Much Help Did You Need?

I wanted to be left alone. My loverly wife waited on me my first day home but stopped when she (finally) realized that I neither needed or wanted the extra care. PS, I am a TERRIBLE patient.
