Anybody Else Cheating?

I can guarantee that everyone will get candid feedback. Sometimes gentile, sometimes not so much, but Always with love. Whenever we post, we expect that love and honesty. -
Asking For Prayer And Positive Thoughts
Arts137 replied to kan75251's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Maybe some comfort in an old Quaker saying... one that helps me: Way will open. -
It gets easier. Of course try to be strick, but REALLY try to avoid them sliders... They set you back!

Not Only Do I Now Have Only One Chin, But...
Arts137 replied to LipstickLady's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Well shazom, Lipstick... The tag reminds of a favourite like from "Cheers": The group "Norm!" Coach: "What's shakin'" Norm: "Four Cheeks and a Belly" -
seizures are NO fun, just find and work with your neurologist. Note, they may limit your driving for a while, just to be safe!

Hahahaha! You have my permission to 'round down'... I have about 100 more to go...

That is a physically and mentally healthy approach!!!

I just cannot have some things. One simple carb and I am in the throes of 'head-hunger-famishment' for days. So no gingerbread man for me. And as for the night, I am a twisted sick puppy, I'll admit it. I go to bed by 8 in the evening and get up well before 4:00AM. And am not hungry in the morning. So, dinner at six, and no food or drink after. Boring? Yep, maybe, but I do not do well with spontaneous (food) ideas. I so rarely find myself longinf for some brocolli.

Thanks for posting!

14 Days Left ..... Day 4 Of Pre-Op Here I Come
Arts137 replied to Simpley_ke's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Just keep thinking and planning and all will be right! Days 3 and 4 may be the toughest trials, but it WILL get easier, and success will help your liver and YOUR HEAD!!! -
Thanks EXCELLENT post.

WELL DONE Hanna! Sometimes it's hard, and sometimes bosses and buttheads, and still you choose not to eat.

Yes, hang in there, it is likely that the antibiotics will let you move forward!

Anybody Else Cheating?
Arts137 replied to MississippiQueen's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Back to the original poster... Sounds like my curse. "Have some simple carbs and it all goes to hell in a handbasket". I do not know about you, but I avoid simple carbs ALL the time. I just get SOOOO hungry if I have any. Call it addiction. Call it a medical problem, but for me it just is. I can stay strict because I know what will happen if I don't stay strict. -
A Mandatory Pre-Op Weigh In!
Arts137 replied to doneganregime1's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hmmmm, interesting. Well a fast (very low calorie diet) should be medically supervised. But maybe got some GOOD Protein suppliment powder (I use unjury, but there is a lot out there) and have 4 shakes a day and one meal of lean protein and a non starchy veggie. Drink 64_ oz Water Taper off caffine No carbonated drinks And NO smoking. Does that help??? -
Well, enjoy it! There are also some GREAT posts here that discuss these new "attention" realities, and they may help you deal...

Likely OK since you can breath (thankfully) and swallow. I'd say watch it for a day, but DO NOT be shy about contacting your MD to check it out if it does not improve OR if it gets worse!

I've Hit The Dreaded 3-Week Stall...ugh!
Arts137 replied to McButterpants's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Well done McB! And no matter how much we know. It still hurts emotionally when we face the stall. At 6 months I went through a "stuck month" and it drove me crazy. But it has passed and I take the next steps forward! Thanks for this GREAT post!!! -
I am a baker. And a fine bread baker. I baked (a LOT) of breads for the family at T'giving, and will do so for Christmas. But breads are not on my plan... I do NOT do well with simple or processed carbs. But all is OK as I focus on the many other and more family-centric parts of the holiday. And with new grandbabies around, I can have lots of new "wonders" to focus on!

I've Gained Weight 3 Weeks Out?
Arts137 replied to Kyrie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Like the Bean says, it's Water and that fluctuates during your cycle and with what you eat. Surprisingly drink more water to get rid of water (and fat). No worries, just stay on the plan! -
Paula, just plan on appropriate contraception and focus on YOU. A year will pass in a SNAP and you can plan for pregnancy then! Don't you dare worry!

Arts137 replied to gamergirl's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
