TOTALLY depends on your surgeon's practice. My drain was pulled right before my discharge.

    Coping With Christmas

I waited 6 months for wine, and it was OK. I will remain fairly strict during the holidays and focus on the family and the love rather than the food. That's just me!

What to bring to a potluck

Good! Though I admit I am partial to calling in sick. The conversation might go something like this: "Hello? I don't think I can make it in today. I have a touch of the Irish Potato Famine."
  7. What a WONDERFUL thread. Historically, the stress of work has been my nemisis. Not this time, I shall retire very soon, for LOTS of reasons, but a big one will be to permit me to focus on me without the work stressors. And every day is planning, is work, every day, so, to quote from Happiness Stan: he ploddy- ploddy forward into the deep thunder-mould of the complicating Forrie to sortin' it this one out, matey.

  10. Well, though not of a female persuasion, can I add...? Some (much) of our basic shape comes from our genes, and we are stuck with that! We also change as we normally age. So, we'll be healthy but not all of us will be models for Aberchrombie...
  11. Pepper, You won't be the first lost... as long as you don't hide in the closet playing hide and seek!

3 weeks post-op: Pizza and Pasta?!

OK, nonody is perfect. But at age 64 I am old and crochity enough to say the truth. My "flaw" is coffee, but I really don't do ANY sweets or simple carbs. I can't. I am a addict and it MESSES ME UP a lot more that the temporary joy. So, while some might "cheat and stay silent". I hope not. And I don't.
  15. Nancy, be good to yourself, dear. Nobody is perfect. Don't let your imperfections make you give up. Try your best, it's all any of us can do...
