  3. Hi, I wonder if you might be happy to give me a bit more of your experience of the fleur de liys? I lost 4.5 stone after having a gastric band, then had a normal tummy tuck. When I visited my surgeon intially he suggsted a FDL TT but I chickend out! Unfortunately the horizontal TT hasn't given me a great result and my PS has said that the only way froward is to return and have a FDL. I am apprehensive about the scarring and also because my recovery from the TT was so tricky. I had a seroma which stretched my scar and caused a lot of pain, I was off work for 10 wks. Any advice, photos etc would be much appreciated as I'm finding it hard to access much info on the FDL, not many people seem to have it. Best wishes, Joanna

  4. Hi Liz,

I have been seeing a medical doctor for 18 months and he has now referred me to a surgeon who I will see next week. I was wondering what to expect from this appointment. I really dont think I can wait another 18 months but cannot afford to have it done privately. I would love to hear your experiences with the NHS.

    im back an update

hey guys its a while since i posted on here ! just an up date, my band failed last year i re gained just under 2 stone of the 7 and a 1/2 i lost initially, i regained in that in 12 months of it breaking down, i have now had a full band removal and replacement 10 weeks ago, so im now looking forward to reloosing the little bit of weight ive regained, they said it was nothing i did wrong told me it was a manufacture fault, im in 2 minds about that as a band is supposed to last more than 3 years 7 months, oh well im back on track now ive been given a 2nd chance so im ready to get back on track ! any way thats just an update from me. liz xx

    Anyone hoping for REBANDING

i will be getting my band removed aug 29th then 6 weeks later i will be fitted with a new band, i want this as its my second chance at this and i do not want to re gain all the weight i have lost. the 1st band i have now has a fracture/twist. i just look at this as part of my journey and it dont have to end just because 1 is broken. best wishes liz xx
