I second that! I hate eating because I Know I'm gonna feel like crap afterwards. I had less than one half of a filet of grilled tilapia and was so full, feeling bubbly in my stomach and hiccoughing. It took 30 min to eat it. BTW, I'm 5 weeks post-op.

What would you gain by leaving him? Where would you and the kids go? Would he pay child-support ? I don't mean to minimize your pain, as I'm sure this is very painful. Ending a marriage is huge (especially if you have kids) so try not to let your emotions make an impulsive decision. Make sure you have a game plan in place before leaving him. If you're still in love with him, I would try to stick it out and aggressively work on a plan with him. I've known women who impulsively left their husband and lost the family home (couldn't afford to keep since he also had to pay rent), kids developed behavioral problems due to the chaos, their financial state was worse than before. So do your homework before thou leave.

One week. I've been married for 24 years and still attracted to my husband. No Fifty Shades of Gray stuff though, lol.

When did the sensation go away?
-
I'm 2 1/2 weeks out and nauseous everyday. Whenever I swallow, I feel whatever it is that I'm swallowing going down and "splashing" in my stomach. The sensation is so bizarre it skeeves me out and I think that's why I'm nauseous. I hate eating because I feel so crappy when I do. I'm hoping that when I get to solid food the sensation won't be as bad. I cheated and tried eating some dry saltines (chewing thoroughly) but the pain in that lump going down was nuts. Too early I guess. I try to keep my eye on the prize (summers coming with cute sundresses, shorts, etc.) and suck it up.

I'm 2 weeks out and have pain when swallowing. The pain isn't so much in my throat but rather at the diaphragm level. My husband laughs at me because sometimes the pain is such that I feel like I need to take my bra off cause it's digging in where the pain is. It feels like swallowing a rock and I try to stretch .,myself taller to make it go down.

I was sleeved 2 weeks ago but still have bouts of nausea a couple of times a day, everyday. My stomach always feels gurgly and alternates with acid stomach or gas and nausea. I'm beginning to wonder if I'll ever feel normal. Anyone else experience this? -

2 months? ? Gosh I hope it doesn't last that long. I'm useless when I feel nauseous. Can't get anything done. All I wanna do is lie down on my side. -
I love my zumba playlist!!! Anything by Pitbull ( he's all over my playlists). Daddy Yankee song Gasolina is fun. Boom boom pow by black eyed peas, and Hips don't lie by shakira are some of my favs.

Weird food cravings and I'm not pregnant
havaneseday posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm 5 days post op and having weird powerful cravings. Fritos corn chips, Sbaro pizza, a big gourmet salad. I haven't given in to any and certainly won't attempt to eat these things but man, I can't stop thinking of them. I even dreamt about the dang fritos. What's happening? Anyone else have strong cravings? If so, how do you shake it. -
Need some words of encouragement

You can do this! You are stronger than your compulsions. That said, Have you tried Myfitnesspal.com? I love this web site cuz it makes it easy to track what you eat (especially if you only have to do it for a short period of time. Keeps you accountable. Its amazing how many calories we consume by just a little nibble here and there. If nothing else, assign an accountable person to help you stay on track. -
Just double checking on what I need to pack for Mexico. Got the gas-x strips, tums, crystal light packets, and my blankie. Anything else I should pack? 2 more days - Yay!

Oooh, good thinking. Thanks! -
redhead mom, call me the fainting queen. I used to pass out pretty frequently. For me, it was my blood pressure. If you're still on meds for hypertension, and you've lost weight, definitely get your dosage adjusted. Who knows, maybe you'll be able to discontinue them. Whenever I start feeling weird and get ringing in my ears, I drop me head. Otherwise, I'll be down for the count.

Yippee! Just bought my tickets tonight. Surgery 2/27 - anyone else out there going to be there?

Not a stupid question at all!! I would also like to know the stats on some of these doctors. Most of the feedback I read is always positive but are they actually real people? I've read that some agencies post fictitous comments. Also, the reviews are subjective. I'd love to know all the objective data out there, such as complications, poor technique, etc. I know in the US you can pull up each states licensing board and find out if the doctor had every been sued or had disciplinary actions. Not sure how to find that out in Mexico.

Wondering if any post sleevers ever experienced depression of sorts following surgery. I have had a "food routine" for so many years and am a little nervous about the drastic change surgery will have on my eating habits. Food can no longer be a coping mechanism or comforter.

Sleeve buddy! Anyone going to Tijuana March 7?
havaneseday replied to schavez2010's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
That's when I plan on going. Trying to find the best deal on airfare. Who is doing your surgery? BTY, I used to live in FL (Ft. Lauderdale) but now I'm in Atlanta. -
I'm also looking to book my trip to Mexico for sleeve. Trying to decide between Ready 4 a change vs Medical Tourism and the doctors of Dr. Cabrera Garcia vs Dr. Fernando Garcia. Any feedback would be appreciated.
