Hello, my name is Ann.....here's my story. I had the sleeve done Dec31,2013... I've had SOOOO many issues till this day... I was in and out if hospital from constipation to a lot of scopes and dialation... Last summer I keeped telling the Dr. I was still in bad pain and could not eat.. Everything was still getting stuck in sterum. I got so sick and tired of not being heard and ignored.. My nurse practitioner told me it was time for a second opion. So I went to Dr. Who speacalized in revisions... Had test done and found out I had a twisted stomach developed another hernia and severe reflux.... The only way to fix this was to have gastric by bass .... Before this second surgery I had weighed 177 I had already lost 100 lbs. so I had gastric by bass Dec.10,2013.. After surgery my reflux was much better.. But the day of surgery I was complaining of left shoulder pain.i did have this from first surgery, but went away... Today is April 22,2014 almost 4/12 months now and still very severe pain in left shoulder when I eat or drink..,, I have gone back and fourth back to Dr. To tell him, he looks at me like I'm crazy...,. Tells me I need a another scope.. We'll, of course I had to be dialated again because of closer ... Ok, we'll I feel even worse.. I'm down to 149lbs..., still can't eat without severe pain in shoulder... It had progressed so much ., when I get an attack in shoulder then the pain radiates to left side of neck .., I'm SOOOO tired of Dr. Not listening to me, I don't know if this Dr. Had Maybe messed up a nerve doing surgery.... I finally went to a back and neck Dr. To get him to get me a MRI on neck and shoulder..,, I'm going today at 2:30...... I can't wait to find out what the hell is going on and why I'm in so much pain and can't eat ...... I know I did find out that a nerve in stomach is some how connected to nerve in left shoulder..... Does anyone out there know anyone or had had this awfull pain like me or know what the hell it is??????

Hello, I just got out of hospital Tuesday.. I was there a whole week... I have had issues about constipation until now... I had over ten enemas three colonoscopy .. I would not wish this on my worst enemy!!!! I'm good now, I have to drink muralax twice a day... But one of my good friends told me about a recipe that Scottish wright in Texas gave her son... 1/2 cup mineral oil, 1/2 cup blue bell chocolate ice cream and 1/2 cup chocolate pudding!!!!! Try it and let me know!!

WOW, it's nice to hear people who are from my home town!!!!!! Born in ft. Wayne , iN dec. 1970... I'm now living in Texas... I really miss home!!!

Well, hello Divanurse!!!!!!! My name is Ann... I love hearing people's stories after surgery... I think more of us should do this that have had complications with this weight loss surgery!!!! I have had a TERRIBLE time also. I'm not being negative to anyone wanting to have this surgery!!!!! But, I think it's good for people to hear!!!!!!!!!!! I had my sleeve done dec.31. Iv lost 55 lbs so far, yes, that sounds great, but Iv had a terrible time. My surgery went good, I also had a hernia fixed, witch I have never had issues with.. My first two weeks were great.. Didn't have much pain at all.. By the third week I noticed how hard it was to eat it or drink water and ice chips... I let it pass for another two weeks, still no better.. Went to dr. And he said nothing was wrong also have had BAD constipation..... I ended up in hospital because my esophagus was narrowing and it had to be dilated open ... I was in hospital for three days... I'm still getting lite headed and dizzy ... My constipation was still very bad... I tried everything .. Called my dr. Alot and told them, they just get plenty of fluids and take stool softener.. So, last Tuesday I went to dr. And told him in person, needless to say , I can't really walk at this time, I had so much pain and pressure.. He told me to go home and do a enema, I did... That made my pain worse.....so the dr. Had me admitted last Tuesday night at hospital... I just got home last nite!!!!!! So for a whole week I was in the hospital having over 10 enemas three colonoscopy and a scope down my throat .. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy...????????????I finally got cleaned out and now I have hemroids and a ulcer from all that.... I was also told I know have a problem with swallowing and it's still too hard to eat ....... I'm not upset because I had the surgery, I'm only 8 weeks out, I still have to heal, I wish he never would have messed with my hernia..... But, it's done with now, can't be upset about the past, I'm getting stronger and will move on...... But, you know, it's good to put your story out there for other people to hear and learn from!!!!!????????

I totally agree with you!!!!!!! People are gonna ask questions that you've already heard over and over again!!!!!!!! My dr. Did not have any of his patients do a pre. Op diet either ....

I had the same problem when I had my surgery dec. 31 in Plano, tx.. I hurt soooooo bad in my shoulder, I asked the dr. If they dropped me while I was in surgery..... The nurse laughed and said no, it's because your stomach had so much air in it.. I had to sleep sitting up also!!!!!

It's my fav. to, my husband injects our chicken breast with it and grills it !!!! It's so yummy!!!!!!!!

I also had it too... I still have a hard time with mine!!! It is also very uncomfortable when I wear a bra!!!!!! It's still a little swollen.. I had my surgery 12/31/2012....

Hello, I'm new to this.... My name is Ann, I was sleeved 12/31/2012... Iv lost 43lbs. So far... I'm still not able to eat.. I drink maybe two protein drinks a day, and have sugar free Popsicles ...water is still hard, so I chew on ice chips all day!! Still very nausea and constipated!!! I hope it gets better.... Oh yeah , and very tired..
