    Shopping!

Jeez, how did you lose so much so fast?!? I'm struggling over here. I've only lost 18lbs in 6 weeks.
  4. Although I considered punking out several times, I actually made it on the plane! I'm so ready to get to the losers bench. My surgery is later today with Dr. Garcia at Mi Doctor.

On the plane to San Diego!

Well folks, I had my surgery. My first question when I woke up was was the surgery over. When he told me yes, my next thought was damn, I was going to change my mind! But all went well. The first night was HELL! Not sure that I was fully prepared for how much pain I would be in. It was the longest night of my life. So don't plan to sleep much that first night. The nurses kept me with pain meds though. The biggest problem is finding a comfortable position to sleep with that damn drain. I prefer to sleep on my sides and it's impossible to do with that drain pulling on you. I didn't have much gas pain until the first day at the hotel. Walking definitely helped. Now I'm just a little sore from the incisions. Everyone at the hospital was great. Dr. Luna has an amazing bedside manner, and he isn't bad to look at either. Melissa is super sweet, as is Rosie. The hospital was clean and safe, but don't expect Cedars Sinai. It's not the Ritz, but it gets the job done. The Marriott was nice and also safe. The staff at the hotel is wonderful, although it took forever for our room to be ready. By day two at the hotel, I felt good enough to do some BRIEF shopping. We took a cab to Revolution and walked around for about an hour to get souvenirs. After that I was pretty tired, so we came back to the hotel for broth. It was ok, but not as great as everyone makes it out to be. I think people are just so excited to eat, that they think it's that awesome. I'm so not looking forward to the long flight back today, but I am very ready to get home!
  7. I am flying in Saturday morning for a same day surgery.

    Going alone

My friend who hasn't worked in months thankfully just got a job. However that means she can't go to TJ with me next week for my surgery! Am I insane for doing this alone?
  9. I'm on the 16th with Dr. Garcia.

    Going alone

Thanks everyone! I love this site so much. Just when I came to terms with going alone, my best friend refused to let me go alone. Her job bans her from traveling to Mexico, but she got special authorization to go with me. So surgery is still on!!
