    Utah sleevers out there?

Thanks, I'm glad to know there are more Utahns out there. I am feeling better, little at a time. I pulled a stitch a couple days ago and that just stopped hurting so bad. It is great the support and help you find on here.

    Any March Sleevers?

Ok fellow March sleevers, I am now on day 7 of being sleeved. I still have some pain on my left 15mm incision, but it is a little more tolerable now. It really does help to walk , walk, walk! I still have a little gas pains here and there but not as bad as they were the first few days. The gas x strips come in sooo handy. It's definitely getting easier to move around and walking is actually kind of fun now that the sun is out. I am still on my clear liquids until Sunday then I will go on full liquids, kind of excited for a little bit more variety to my diet. Lol. For me I find that if my water, liquids are cold with ice they tend to go down better than lukewarm or room temperature liquids, but everyone is different. I have to say the first couple of days weren't too bad maybe because I was on pain medication, lol the next couple of days were pretty much hell! But now it's like I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, so good luck to all my fellow March sleevers, we'll be starting the new spring season with a new spring in our step!

    Any March Sleevers?

Hey you guys, I was sleeved on the 1st it is now two days after and I'm still pretty sore. Just remembering to sip, sip , sip.... or you get sick lol I'm glad its over and it will be a lot better in a couple more days but you will sore. Just remember to get up and walk as soon as you can to help with the gas pain. Its been nice to sip apple juice, and water but just sip. Your sleeve is so swollen if you drink a lot at a time it will just come back up or cause chest pain remember to take it slow, good luck to all of those sleevers on the 4th and the rest of the month.

    Any March Sleevers?

The second day was the hardest, then the last few days were getting hard, I was on a full liquid protein diet. I was able to have one can of 98% fat free soup each day, that was what kept me sain I think! Lol. On the good side I lost a total of 32 lbs though. Everytime I thought about eating something I would ask myself " is this food worth (maybe) getting my surgery cancelled?" The reply was always the same..... HECK NO. LOL

    Any March Sleevers?

Ok everyone, I had my surgery this morning at 11:30 and I feel pretty good right now. There is a little bit of tenderness when I move but other than that no real pain. I think my gallbladder surgery was worse lol. I'm not allowed any liquid with the first day, the doctor said he will start me on Ice chips tomorrow. It's not as bad as I was thinking it would be the surgery only took about 35 minutes. So good luck to the rest of you getting it done this month , I heard from other people the first day is the worst and if this is the worst I`ll take it any day! Lol The best thing to remember, is to get up and walk as soon as you can. They bloat your stomach during surgery which makes you have gas pains , the best way to get rid of this is a walk, just a little heads up.

    Any March Sleevers?

Hi all, getting sleeved on the 1st and soooo excited! The pre-op diet has been the hardest thing, but that too has gotten much easier. I have been on the full liquid pre-op for 3-1/2 weeks now and have lost 31 lbs woo-hoo. Someone replied earlier " you've got to keep your eye on the prize" that is so true! I have to tell you I have been tempted to just "try" something but I didn't (thank goodness) it would really suck if I had eaten something and that caused me to not be able to do the surgery. Again I just tell myself food isn't everything and keep your eye on the prize! It looks like we have a great group of March sleevers , good luck to all of you.

    Utah sleevers out there?

No. March 1st I'm getting way excited. I know its a life commitment, and in a way its kind of scary with all the what ifs. But I'm still gonna do it cause I'm tired of living this way. I live in Payson, so any tips you may have would be great.

    Got my Date!

My date Is March 1! I am doing the pre-op for three weeks and I am now on my 3rd day. I had to laugh because it was so true, on the 2nd day I could've eaten my own fingers! Today is a little better, and hopefully just gonna get better as time goes on.
  19. I am on the second day of my full liquid pre operation diet. I have to say that today was harder than yesterday, and I hear tomorrow won't be that great either. I will be on this diet for 3 weeks as well. Although the doctor did say that after the first 3 to 4 days it gets better I'm looking forward to that lol. So I to feel what you're going through. But in the long run we are worth it!
  20. My sister and I are getting sleeved together. We decided not to tell our family (other than our husbands) until after the surgery. Sometimes their concern comes across as negative, we've brought the subject up before and it wasn't wholly approved of. However, we are both very excited.
