January sleevers......what's your weight loss so far?
deecc26 replied to pottergirl's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had my surgery jan. 21st. I have only lost 57 lbs and nothing in the last 2 months. I am going to kick up my protein and water and hit the gym harder to see what I can do. I am 4'11" and weigh 158. Dr. Goal is 141 so still 17 lbs to go and I made a more aggressive goal for myself of 130. Disappointed I am not there yet but not giving up. -

How long we're you out of work?
deecc26 replied to No Day But Today's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I took 6 weeks. NY requires all employers with over a certain number of employees to carry short term disability. They also don't allow anyone to come back with restrictions. My doc had lift, push, pull no more than 15 pounds for 6 weeks. Hence me being out for 6 weeks otherwise I would have gone back in 3 weeks. -

We are almost exactly the same weight loss so far!!! Do you have alot more to go before goal? I still have 28 pounds to my surgeons goal. Hoping to lose more than my surgeons goal but was so happy to go below 170. Haven't seen that on the scales in more than 10 years. -

I am 11 weeks out from surgery now. I am 4'11" starting weight was 216, I am now down to 169:) I am kind of a slow loser as 19 pounds is from preop diet. 47 pounds total is not too shabby, right? -

6weeks out im down 42 pounds scare to try on clothes
deecc26 replied to ebonisekim's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I have dropped a couple sizes. I have not done sny clothes shopping. My mom has picked up some new pants for me at Salvation Army. She has the time to stop and check on it for me and I would hate to pay full price for something I am hoping not to wear very long. -
I was sleeved on 1/21! I have lost 36 pounds so far. I am 4'11" and started out at 215. I have another 10 days before I can try chicken. Hoping I can tolerate it since my family eats it all the time. I dread throwing up. I was sick the first day right after my surgery and luckily have not been sick since. I am so sorry you were sick????

A little off topic but I just started using MFP and don't know how to track the food details except calories. Is there something I need to change in the settings? -

how long to get to feeling better
deecc26 replied to oklafarmgal's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I did not start feeling energetic until after my one month post op. my vitamin D was really low. I have had to take prescription supplements for this before so I was not terribly surprised. But most people on here usually say about 2 weeks. -
Sorry:( don't get chocolate wasted. It won't make you feel better. When you are ready go back out there and find another puppy that needs your loving home.
