Had surgery thursday and all went well, had trouble sleeping a couple of nights. Pain was managable and I only stayed one night. I am on clear liquids until monday and then I can start phase two with shakes. Looking forward to eating a plain yogurt post op I was 318 and in 4 days I have lost 7 lbs. That helps me stay motivated. I have a 2 year old boy, and the hardest thing is not being able to carry him, but in due time he'll have a healither mommy

He said no lifiting for six weeks...kicking not so sure. I put pillows all over my stomach just in case my son decides he wants to run into me. We keep telling him that mommy hurt and he has to be gently. that calms him down and he stays away. He understands gentle Still hard though cause you want to give them a big hug and not be afraid he'll hit you in stomach

Thats awesome! I took 7 days off work. Going back mon the 18th. good thing is I have desk job that doesnt require any heavy lifting or strain I am 4 days out and I feel pretty good, so Im sure by the time I go back I can handle it. a bit of advise the most painful part after surgery was gases, nurse recommended gas x disolvable strips, worked great. much better now.

I was told to start preop diet 2 WKS before. shakes, broth, sugar free jello and drinks, and plenty of water. Its been hard but the Dr says it makes you much healthier for surgery because it reduces fat around liver. also prepares you for life after surgery. I am on day 7, its a bit easier know but praying my way through it. -

I will be praying all goes well. This isnt an easy decision. But I always say to myself if my Mom had been given the opportunity to take control of her weight she would still be here. I want a healthier Mom for my son, and I want to be around to see my grandkids
