Shout out your Nsv's
aquitenonnymouse replied to AutumnPunkin's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Yesterday I sat in a hammock chair that I was given YEARS and YEARS ago, but was never under the weight limit. -
Sometimes a combination of meds is what works the best. Call your surgeon when you can to get instructions on what to take, or to see if a different script is what you need. I hope you're getting the help you need! You're not alone- your surgery team or general practitioner can help you!

Oh! I also took gasX chewables (some sort of creamy mint flavor) and they seemed to help the intestinal gas that I had. -
5 days post op and i'm feeling...
aquitenonnymouse replied to tiffany1521's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My surgeon had me on Prilosec for 6 weeks post-op even though I had never had acid reflux before. He says he does it for all of his patients. I found popsicles to be really really helpful in getting in my liquid. I had sugar free popsicles, crystal lite, and milk with Protein powder for most of my liquid phase. The way I made sure I got enough food was to set a timer to go off every hour. When it went off I had to drink 1/2 cup of crystal lite, iced tea, whatever, or eat a sugar free popsicle. No ifs, ands, or buts. It worked really well for me, even though I didn't want to! -

A Rant: Did you not read anything on this site before asking? Are you new here?!
aquitenonnymouse replied to rebecca_dsu's topic in Rants & Raves
Heh. I did my research rather than asking the little things at the beginning, but I try to answer people who are freaking out... at least if I have the information. :-D -

My confession. I fell of the wagon
aquitenonnymouse replied to O.T.R. sleever's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Thank you for your honesty! I find it's harder for me to slip up when I have people that I'm accountable to. My husband really helps with this for me. -
Yup. This happens! You can do it!

Lying about weight loss and/or months on a program
aquitenonnymouse replied to Ree's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had to have my general practitioner sign off about my six months of supervised weight loss (which I had already done with her), which sped up my process a little bit. Don't lie. This time is a good thing. Like many others have said, surgery is a last resort. -
9 weeks out, ques. About eating
aquitenonnymouse replied to bringiton's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You NEED to eat things that aren't just Protein. Fruits and vegetables are important parts of your meals too! Have your protein and 2 tablespoons of fruit or 2 tablespoons of veggies. -
Nice job! That must feel great.

I walked from day 1(in the hospital) to week 5. Week six I was cleared for more intense exercise and I started jogging with my husband.
