Wow! Incredible job! You are inspiring. How is cycling with extra skin? It's easier for me than it was 6 months ago, but my skin is giving me problems. Do you wear compression shorts? -

I started at 330, and was 310-ish at surgery. You're not alone! There are TONS of us.

I'm issuing a weekend challenge
aquitenonnymouse replied to aquitenonnymouse's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I agree about donating even the rough stuff, but I have gardening shirts that are quite literally unwearable. Stretched out, stained, unraveled seams, etc. THOSE went in the trash. As did old period panties. Can I say that outside of the 'powder room'? yep. I just did. Good for you! Saturday it is! -
Tea tree oil shampoo, hair loss!
aquitenonnymouse replied to sarahzamudio1091's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I haven't heard about tea tree promoting hair growth... but it is an anti-fungal and can help with dandruff! I'd suggest making sure you are getting enough Protein, Water, and also take pre-natal Vitamins, or folic acid and Biotin supplements. Good luck! -

I've been eyeing my summer clothes that are coming up. I don't have enough warm-weather clothes to do laundry only once a week. Shopping time! -
What did you use for scares?
aquitenonnymouse replied to miss_latina89's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I haven't put anything on my scars except occasional almond oil when I was moisturizing everything else already. I'm not too concerned about them or embarrassed by mine. -

Do it! -
hrm... I've had weak/dizzy spells, but my bloodwork to check it didn't include a K test. Interesting! I wonder if that could be adding to it for me! I'm certainly not getting the amounts of K that I did before surgery.

Good for you two! I was noticing the other day that some of my shirts that fit me 100lbs heavier still fit... My husband said "uh... sweetie? They really really don't fit anymore. You just think they do." whoops! -

okay..here a ?
aquitenonnymouse replied to blackie220's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The doctor from my psych eval. for surgery told me that it takes the average person about two years for their mind to catch up to their body when you loose a large amount of weight. It was good to hear that so I know this won't happen forever. My husband recently saw some pictures from a year ago (I'm 6 months post-op) and said "I didn't remember that you looked like that! I had kind of forgotten, and have gotten used to how you look now." Weird. -
There are several posts in the Pregnancy forum by people in the same boat as you. Good luck!

Ladies: How many of you pre-surgery got the "Are you pregnant" question?
aquitenonnymouse replied to GirlOnFire's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was never asked, but I was always worried that someone would ask. -

Ideas for what to tell people?
aquitenonnymouse replied to BriDawn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Don't be ashamed or scared- Tell the truth. Lying is toxic, stressful, and puts a load on our shoulders. You don't owe them an explanation, but you also can choose to not lie. You can say "I had surgery" or some type of beginning of the truth, or you can tell really inquisitive people that you're not comfortable talking about it yet. When you're ready... tell the truth!
