    Shapewear (Quality)

Thanks for the tips ladies! The Rago line is really really pretty! (I like the vintage look)

    Anyone wear smaller shoes now?

I was a size 12, and I think I'm a 10.5 now, but those don't really exist in shoe stores! Most 11s are a little too big, and 10s are a little too small and pinch my toes.

    5 months out

You're doing great! I'm at 5 months out tomorrow, and I'm down 72 from surgery. My weight loss has slowed WAY WAY WAY down too. I'm doing 1-2 pounds per week for a while now.

    Cant stand eating dinner

Maybe keep track of your protein intake? I always plan on dinner being 2/3 meat or other protein.

    questions

It'll go away, I promise! There's a bunch of CO2 in your body right now. GO WALKING. I helps. Seriously. I also found gasX chewables to help (once I was in bed for the night). Walk, walk, walk, walk, walk is what my surgery group promoted to get rid of gas pain and bloating.

5 weeks out and getting upset

This is just about the time that your body will go from loosing water to converting more water out of your fat cells, etc. This is a transition. Your body will get back on track for loosing. Keep up the good work, and keep up the exercise.

    6 months weight loss

My insurance required 1 year of supervised weight loss, plus psych evaluation, etc etc etc

    I hate this

I would suggest a therapist. You need to have a support network. You made an adult decision that will change you for the rest of your life. Ultimately, you need to react like an adult too, and take care of yourself and surround yourself with people who care about you and know what you're going through. Try a support group in your area?

    Throwing up

I never had a problem throwing up. My doctor had me on anti-nausea medication for the first couple of weeks, so I don't know if that made a difference, but I never had that problem.

    Birth control AFTER surgery...

I'm paranoid about birth control, and my doctor said to make sure you don't get pregnant after the sleeve, use two forms! So, we use my IUD plus condoms, just to be safe. I don't want to get pregnant right now and loose the initial window!

    Doctor is disappointed

I'm hoping he read your chart wrong! You've lost a LOT of weight for only being 9 weeks out! GO you!!!
  18. I just got some new shape-wear in the mail today (my old stuff was at least 2 sizes too big and from before surgery) and tried it on. While I had the new stuff on, I decided to try on some clothes from the back of my closet. I am 25 years old. My highest weight was around 330lbs, and I weighed 310 at surgery. I now weigh 240lbs (down 70 from surgery, 90 from highest weight). I fit into the prom dress I wore to my husband's senior ball. TEN years ago. When I was 15 years old!!! I just had to share!

    Stuggling!

You can still sit down with your family for meals, but have a sugar free popsicle instead, or watered down applesauce or yogurt! You're going to be tired for a while, in my experience. It stinks, but it's your body responding to so many fewer calories. Make sure you're getting enough calories in. Are you drinking 3 glasses of milk each day? Does each one have protein powder added? I found that when I wasn't getting enough protein at the beginning that I was more tired than usual. Hang in there!

Let's Check In November 2012 Sleevers!

My weight loss has certainly slowed. It took me about 40 days to loose the last 10 lbs, which was frustrating. It's still coming off, though! I'm wondering about doing a few liquid days to jump my metabolism again or to take in more calories for a few days. Has anyone tried either of these?

    Any November 14Th Sleevers?

    November Sleevesters?

I was sleeved Nov 16th, and I'm ALMOST at the 5 month mark. I'm down 70lbs from surgery and 90 lbs from my highest weight.

    salad post op

I agree with Shrinkingmom. I'm 5 months out and started eating some salad at 4 months... I get hungry SO soon after eating it. Unless I'm having 2-3 oz of meat with my salad, eating that first, and then eating SOME of the lettuce, I just don't get enough protein that way and fill up on the lettuce too fast.
