My surgery date is on Feb. 4th and have been on the pre op diet for 12 days. Just protein shakes, broth and sugar free Popsicles. The first 3-4 days were tough with headaches but drink lots of water and they go away. The cravings as well. I am from Saskatchewan, Canada. getting a little nervous about the surgery and just want to get it done and focus on what's ahead.

I am also on the 6th day of the pre op diet. Just protein shakes and broth for two weeks. I found the first four days hard. Had a lot of head aches but it does get better. I never thought I could do six days. My family has been really good at eating things in the other room. So far I have lost 6 pounds. I do struggle at times thinking why am I doing this and damn I have made it six days more than I thought I would. So one day at a time and one hour at a time, off need be. It is nice to know that someone understands and is going through the same things that I am. Hang in there!

I am new to this site but thought I would post. My surgery is booked for Feb. 4th as well. I am on the seventh day of a two week liquid diet. Broth and Protein shakes! It does get easier after while. Still trying to get my head around not eating period. I go back and forth from scared to excited to let's get this over with already. Thinking this is fairly normal. I have lost 5 pounds a week in...I'll take it.
