9 Months Progress Photo/-172 LBS

Okay, well I have to say- your pics are an awesome incentive. I am only about 2 weeks out and of course struggling. I have stayed strictly on the diet but as anyone here would understand, it can get very frustrating and that is an understatement. So being able to see what may happen 9 months later, well, that is a gift. Thank you for sharing -
Okay, I am just over 2 weeks from my sleeve. I cannot tolerate the horse pills of calcium that my Dr prescribed. He said Gummies will be worse. Is there any other possible way to get the calcium? I am able to drink FF milk and as of yesterday I can have LF Cottage Cheese and LF Cheese, so there is a little calcium, but as you all know the amount we can actually get down is minimal. I am open to ANY suggestions...thanks!

Thanks for your reply. My Dr warned me of the "head hunger" which is what I think is happening. One day at a time...thanks again

Hi-I am so glad to meet someone with a very similar experience and same surgery date...thanks for responding. I started searching for online support groups because yesterday was so hard. I am having food cravings- are you? This 2 week liquid diet is something else. But Wed they say I can add in strained cream Soups, egg drop soups and in a few days LF Cottage cheese. I too just tried a brief walk and it went better than I thought. I am still very sore on my left side. But each day is better than the last. The scale I think reflects success to so many of us who have been tied to our weight for years. So I think that is why so many people get stuck on the number, or at least it is why I do. I am praying for progress in the AM. Thanks for responding.

I had my sleeve on Jan. 16th. It has been a very LONG 11 days, but each day gets a bit easier. I ended up in the hospital for 5 days, so as much as I hated the stay, the withdraw was crazy and I am glad I suffered through that nightmare there.

I am so glad you wrote this post. New or not to the support boards here, it's frustrating. I am 11 days post surgery and each day I was losing weigh (17lbs to date) and this morning the scale stayed the same. Plus the day before was such a hard day. I guess to me, I can't understand that given the lower number of calories going into this body, that I am not losing tonage every day! This liquid diet is something. My cravings are ridiculous. Any suggestions...welcomed

Day 3 post op: HELP!
Rachele replied to Ohitsmorgan's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had surgery on 1/16 and on my one week apt with my Dr he suggested that I take Benadryl before bed. As of right now I take one before bed and I am sleeping a solid 7-8 hours. I was so thankful. Sleeping was not happening. As of now, I am having a harder time with hunger cravings. I am following the liquid diet to a T but it is so difficult. About 17lbs down since surgery but this morning was the first morning I woke up without a weight loss..I was bummed and I feel so bloated. Hoping Mon morning brings better news. Still very sore. -
Hi- this is my first time on this website. I had my sleeve 11 days ago. I am struggling with the post surgery liquid diet. It just seems so difficult and I still am craving foods. Any suggestions?
