hi, has anyone actually gotten (and carried) a pregnancy after a lap band? i know they just say that they can let the band out some , but i'm wondering if its really that easy? i have my 1st appt next month, and would like at some point to have a 3rd child, but i do wonder how easy it is after being banded? thanks pattie:smile2:

thanks it has- i thought it might take 6 months- and my husband will probably be getting out in < 1 yr, so that woudl probably not work. but i'll keep it in mind, if he stays in, thanks

hi sissy- yes, we could have a march of the fatties! Hope that does not insult anyone, but after many yrs I'm finally able to identify who i really am (and don't want to be anymore). It is really crazy that they do not cover it- you have done alot more research than me- up to what bmi is the lapband good for? are there any good websites you could send me the link to? thanks Its so nice to have a forum like this, since my friends and family that are normal sized (or slightly overwt) just do not understand why i can't lose the extra 120 pounds).

hi, pls pls tell me how to get lap band at walter reed? I'm close to both there and ft. belvoir, but have not had any success yet! fills are pretty affordable right? If not, do they do them at ft. riley or Levenworth?

hi, tricare told me they would only pay for GB- my surgeon also does lapband and gb= - do you have any inof on how i could get a referral for lapband instead?

ladies- this has been a helpful conversation i found. i was told consider gastric bypass surgery (not the lap band) after 6 months diet, etc. So i thought i might look into a self pay since i have no interest in bypass. but after reading this thread (if i'm reading it right)- i'm lead to believe that they do the lap band at walter reed? do any of you have any info that might help me? I'm very close to WR, but i did not think they did it. thanks! Pattie
