  1. Thanks I'll check it out
  2. Has anyone used these long term? My Nut suggested them for only the first 2-3 days post op. she said they were not a good nutritional value long term. I couldn't stomach them that first week. Now after over 2 months post op I can tolerate them if I pour it in a glass and chug it down quickly. even still they make me nauseous, but 42 grams of protein is hard to beat. Any thoughts? I'm thinking of ordering the variety pack from Amazon.

    Cold intolerance

I just ordered some hothands mittens with overnight delivery. I literally can't function because my right hand feels like I'm walking around holding a bag of ice. next week I may order the heated socks for my frozen feet. and this is all inside! the heating pad and I have a very close relationship. I've had this problem for years, but it's extremely bad this year. (one year out from surgery)
  4. This is totally normal. I think most everyone gained the first week. it's because they pump you full of fluids during the surgery. don't worry it will all fall off plus much more. I gained about 8 pounds the week of surgery, but then I lost that plus 15 more in the first month.
  5. I also started at 232, Jan 21st (next week) is my 1 year. I am currently rocking between 154-156. I want to get down to at least 138. Just another 15 or so pounds to go and I'm on a sweet craving the past few weeks. Gotta get my but on track and exercise. What a gift to be only 15 pounds away from what I weighed when I was 18 years old! I'm 55 and 5'6.
  6. if you had your gastric sleeve surgery last January and celebrating 1 year surgiversary, let's hear and see some results.
  7. My 1 year stats: I've lost 77 pounds. Went from a sz 18 to a sz 10. Started at 232 and I'm at 155, and I'm 5' 6" tall. I had surgery Jan. 21, 2013. I still want to lose 16 more pounds to 139. Lots if saggy skin though. ugh!

I love the caramel macchiato! but it's made exclusive for Target.
  9. This month on Jan 21 is a year since surgery. Just wondering if it's ok to take aspirin now?

    Is WLS tax deductible?

My sister had surgery a year before I did, we were both self pay. She said we couldn't deduct it on our income tax because it's considered cosmetic, since we did medically qualify for insurance to pay.

    Is WLS tax deductible?

    What would qualify for comorbidity?

    Is WLS tax deductible?

I'm certainly hoping I can. I was 232 pounds and considered obese and they repaired my hiatal hernia. I have thyroid disease etc. but no heart problems, diabetes or documented sleep apnea.
  13. thanks! I would just feel better having a low dose each day.

5'6" and weighed 225-235 surgery day?

Update. As of today I am down to 154, that makes 78 pounds lost. Jan 21st will be my 1 yr surgiversary.

    Tummy tuck today!

Did they cut out your belly button and make a new one? Also, did you get cut all the way around or just in front? And lastly, how much did yours cost? thanks a bunch!
  19. I'm averaging 5 pounds a month now, but I won't complain as long as it keeps moving. I've went from 232 on Jan 21st surgery day to 167 as of today, so -65 so far. I LOVE being able to shop in regular stores! I actually had to swap the siZe 12 black pants for a 10! the week before I was ecstatic about my size 12 skinny jeans. I'd like to lose 20-30 more pounds. I'm 5'6, so 140ish would be ideal.
  20. I thought they usually did a tummy tuck across. I see yours is up and down. any reason for that? I have an up and down c section scar, so that may be better for me too. just don't know when I will be able to afford it after I hit my goal. Congrats!

5'6" and weighed 225-235 surgery day?

Update on my weight loss. It's been slow, but my first goal is to be 169 by my birthday in mid September, so 6 more to go. My final goal is to be at least down to 148, but 138 would be better. surgery success Date. Weight Lost.
