  1. I think it's totally normal to want the scale to move! It's a natural way to measure success. I'm a scale jumper myself. I need to NOT get on every day or two.. *sigh* You look incredible, BTW! And 75 pounds?! Wow!!! I graze as well... I seem to keep myself in check at work, as there's not as much time to graze.. but being home is the worst! I do treat myself to a 100 calorie bag of popcorn every day or two. And I fall off the proverbial wagon on the regular. But, I get back up again... I keep going! I'm down 80 - 82 pounds. I've gone from a size 28 to an 18 (almost 16). I feel great!!!! But, the slowed weightloss hurts my ego and therefore my progress :'( I need to watch the grazing... make better choices when I'm out... and NOT run to the gas station during work for snacks! Old habits die hard...
  2. Weghtloss stalls are aweful! I'm sorry to hear that yours has lasted such a trying period of time! It does, however, sound like you've been successful otherwise? I've been a slow, but steady loser. Which is both nice and frustrating. I had a stall that lasted about 3 or 4 weeks, but otherwise I've lost at least a pound each week. I have to admit to eating a little of everything. I try to avoid salty snacks (only because they've been my down fall in the past) as well as candy (for the most part). I'm just now introducing carbonated beverages. I always drink diet (so I'm not wasting calories on a beverage) and honestly don't drink them often. I've been exercising quite a bit, which I think ia helping.. Truthfully, its become a lifestyle and sone days are better than others :-)
  3. Hey fellow December Sleevers! Lets share some successes (as I'm not feeling terribly successful, but I sure do feel better than I did) and best practices!

    All of my December sleevers...

Hey December Sleevers! I have to wallow for a few because it has easily been 3 weeks since I've lost ANY weight.. even an ounce! I'm now starting to find myself reverting back to old habits.. reaching for the unhealthy stuff because I'm frustrated and "not losing weight anyway so why bother eating healthy!" Help!!! I'm tracking calories now to see if that's an issue and I have yet to make it past 1k (though I might today.. today was NOT pretty).
  5. So, I'm struggling with a couple things... First, I haven't lost a thing not a single pound, in well over a week (nearly 2).. Second, I've always been a super 'regular' person and I have barely popped in like 5 days!!! I've added more fiber, drink water constantly, pumped up the exercise.. WTH?! #Frustrated

    chewable multi-vitamin

I'm taking MultiVites. I found them at Sam's Club, they're a gummy for adults. They do have 3g of sugar.. oops. But hey, if I can keep them down and not dread taking them.. that's something :-)

    All of my December sleevers...

Sleeved on 12/28/12. Down 23 pounds. Highest weight (12-18-12) of 302, now 271!

    All of my December sleevers...

I can relate to the frustration of not seeing your loss. My high weight was 302 pounds. I'm now at 270. The numbers look great, but no one else seems to notice the loss. It's just, frustrating.

    chewable multi-vitamin

My NUT actually recommended switching to gummy vitamins because I was having the same issue. The gummies are fabulous!

    OUCH!

    Woo hoo! That's good news!
  11. Dr. Nunn at the Barix Clinic in Ypsilanti, MI. He's fabulous, great bedside manner! That being said, I've had a couple issues with unexpected medical bills and such. Boo!
  12. SamED

    OUCH!

I was shocked also. All of my materials said no NSAIDS. But after a muscle tear and reaction to narcotics, the surgeon who was seeing me (not my surgeon, but one from the same facility) said something like, "Oh yeah, you can have NSAIDS with the sleeve." *sigh* I'll be talking with my surgeon on Tuesday!

    OUCH!

That's what the Docs told me to take?! :-(

    Pre op diet messed up

My pre-op diet was literally 24 hours. I do think it depends on the surgeon. Mine was all about eating as normally as possibly for as long as possible prior and returning to eating as normally as possible as quickly as possible after! Best of luck to you!
  15. Thanks MOMW! I'm not really on meds, thankfully! I'm just, overwhelmed. :-) Thanks for the encouragement, because there's certainly NO turning back! Hahaha!
