boatdays replied to pottergirl's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
January 21 surgery and I have lost 40lbs. -
Can we cause any harm to our sleeve? Damage? Stretch? I am thinking if trying a cocktail on vacation next month at 10 weeks post op. Thoughts?

boatdays replied to TTL's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I told only my mother, and I am so happy I kept it all private. -
Why is that? Same issue here.

my sleeve has done her job.
boatdays replied to Rycherchick's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes- just give your body time. 15-20mins usually is enough, on occasion it has made me throw up. It's definitely a learning process. Hang in there- it will pass. -
What are some things that you cannot eat after surgery that you have before surgery!
boatdays replied to TTL's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So far ice cream and clam chowder are the only things that have made me sick. I ate the smallest amount of ice cream- it was actually a couple bites if a shamrock shake. Other than that- most things are a-ok! Even tried a hot dog and bun tonight at a basketball game. I am 6 weeks out and down -32lbs. -
How long did it take?
boatdays replied to petra1124's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have felt amazing (old self) since 2 weeks after. I am no spring chicken at 40 years old too! 6 weeks out and feel better than ever- it's been a great recovery period. -
I am 6 weeks out and have a sugar free, skim, decaf latte a couple times a week with no problems.

boatdays replied to newgrandmother's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am fairly slow too- 32 pounds in 6 weeks. But I am ok with that because I don't want loose ad saggy skin!! -

boatdays replied to rxkid2384's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had that when I ate too much, too fast. It lasted about 3 days- so uncomfortable! -
How much weight did you lose each month after surgery?
boatdays replied to mariamitani's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Surgery 1/21 and I have lost 30lbs. Started at 265. Happy to be losing at this rate- hoping it helps with preventing loose and saggy skin. -

HELP! I need a good excuse!
boatdays replied to conshy416's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think you should go! You would be feeling fine by then. -
Took two weeks. Returned this past Monday, with no problems whatsoever. Could have gone back earlier. I am 40 and have appointments all day.
-
I was addicted to diet coke. Was told not to drink post surgery. I am 13 days post op and don't miss it at all. I am a little shocked myself.
-
I was not told no gum. Chewed some on day 5 following surgery. Accidentally swallowed it- panicked! Called my surgeon on the weekend, he said I would be just fine. 8 days later and I was and am perfectly fine.
