I have the same question. I was sleeved on April 9, and I'm down9 lbs. I thought it would be much more by now, am I doing something wrong?

Hi Laurie, my surgery went great. Wow, I can't say enough great things about Dr. Aerial Ortiz and his awesome team! I am so glad that I went with my gut and did my research! This was truly the best choice I ever could have made. I know that the OCC costs a bit more than some other clinics, but honestly we are sooo worth it. You won't be disappointed I promise you. I found out while I was in TJ that the first Dr I booked before I did my research now owns a funeral parlor as well. Mostly because of so many botched surgeries! Please Laurie, do the best thing for yourself and every person who loves you and stick with the OCC!

I hear you on this liquid diet being tough. I need to lose 11 pounds for surgery on April 9. I almost had it, I had lost 10 pounds. Then got on the scale at my dr's office and it said I was 5 lbs heavier than my home scale said. I totally lost my motivation and started eating everything that I know I won't be able to eat after surgery. I went back up 5 pds. I now have 11 days to lose 7 pounds. Yikes

Hi girls, I know in my paperwork it was explained to me that min 5% up to 10% weight loss is a must pre surgery as it reduces to fat around your liver. This is the organ they have to get around to get to your stomach. 5% for me is 12 pds and 10% is 24 pds. I was doing pretty good then I went off the rails for a few days. Back at it, I'm down 7 pds so far and I'm going to do the pre surgery diet shortly just to try to get more weight off. I know that this will make my surgery easier, my recovery faster, and help me get to my goal quicker.

I bought the NutriBullet and love it! I know that I will get evenore use out of it, after surgery.

Ah big ah ha mention came for me when I had been long distance dating a wonderful man for 1 year. We finally got in the same city at the same time for our first date. It was my favorite restaurant in our home town that i use to go too in my 20's for special dinners. Restaurant was beautiful, then they sat us in a private booth. OMG when I could hardly fit! I was mortified! How things have changed from my 20's to my 40's. I'd say about 100 pounds of change! I'm looking forward to losing that 100 Pounds cause my new change is a coming!

This is the first I've read about the emotional roller coaster I need to get prepared for. My surgery in on the April 9, I will for sure be coming here regularly. I've been so concentrating on life after this, that I hadn't given any thought to that part of the process. Thanks for the heads up. I know it's just a temp thing!!'
