Ah....Patron...how I miss thee...especially a shot of it floating so beautifully and sweetly on top of a perfectly frozen Mararita! Sigh..... OK, I'm ready for judgement day!

It is not supposed to be like Medicare. You will be purchasing from major healthcare providers, Atena, UHC and the likes. You are supposed to be able to buy whatever level you want to pay for, be it catastrophic or full coverage, it's up to you. The president will be participating in it for healthcare for his family. Congressional aids are participating. Funny though, Congress excluded themselves from it. They will still have their private insurance that they currently have. Hmmmmm.....no judgement there! I agree Joe, it is going to be a trainwreck. Man, I hope it's covered!

Can I take that grain of salt with a shot of tequila? :P

No state will be excluded from the AHCA, some states have chosen to not do their own administration of it. For those states, you will be able to use the NHCE (National Health Care Exchange) Open enrollment begins Oct. 1 for coverage to begin Jan 1, 1014. It will depend on the type of coverage you purchase. I believe you will purchase, if you qualify or don't have it though your employer. I could be wrong but that is how I interpreted it. Some of the cost, which could be covered by subsidy. Hope it helps. You would need to ask specific questions on coverage when/if you use the exchange.

Calcium Suggestions?
newat52 replied to kchristian's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have been taking the unjury chewables. I did get a bottle of the Citracal petites and finally tried one. It went down fine. I was scared to though. I know many a lot of people are taking them. They are so much less expensive and less calories then the chewables. I am 3 months out and waited till last week to try one. About a month out I started to try some of my meds whole. I was previously cutting them in half as they were pretty small anyway instead of crushing them. It set in my stomach not well so I waited till about 2 months then it was fine. Now at 3 months, I'll finish up my chewable calcium and then stay with the petites. Next step is getting to the regular One a day Vitamin. Good luck BTW: you are so right, even the "petites" are big! -
If I have to tell you, you'll never get it anyway! Oh, sorry, that line is reserved for my hubbby!

You can take a girl out of Ohio, but you can't take Ohio out of the girl!
-
Not without a metal umbrella while wearing golf shoes.

Cooking with it is perfectly fine. Having a glass of wine WHILE you are cooking with it, even better! :D Provided you are cleared my your Dr. for it. Don't want to tell anyone it's ok, if it's not. Every Dr. has their opinion about it. Mine says it's fine after 6 weeks. BTW: Watcha cookin?
-
Good luck tomorrow! You will do great! You will be fine afterwards, your full time job will be sipping and walking. Like the posters above said, you won't be thinking about food. You will be amazed at what changes are in store for you. For the great! I am 3 months out and know with every Fiber of my being, this was the best thing I have ever done for my health! Only regret is wish I would have done it sooner. Check in when you can after you are on the loser's bench.
