I just got my first "you're losing too much weight" comment today. I ran into someone I haven't seen since I was sleeved, she told me how good I looked and told me not to lose anymore weight. I told her I still need to lose at least another 40. She said no just stop now! you're going to look sick! Now I'm 198 @ 5'3 so far from being a healthy weight... which is what I'm aiming for!

I was told that as long as I was comfortable and off of pain meds for 24 hours I could drive. I drove 4 days after surgery to the store.

When I told people at work that I was having WLS I got "WHY" "YOU'RE NOT THAT BIG" So I would ask so should I wait to get "THAT BIG"? They had nothing to say! -

I wasn't bothered by it, I just don't feel "small" or "skinny". -

Weird that one of the husbands said something, I would have giving my husband the death stare... It's so funny how people feel the need to comment on something so personal. -

You would need a anti viral med... I also get them but they never last more then a couple of days so I think you should be fine, but you should always call the Dr. to be sure.

Anyone gettng sleeved@ Military Treatment Facility ( Sleevers in VA BEACH, Norfolk area)
Mrs_Ashley replied to opal_m's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi... I was able to pick Dr. Mann When I made my Appt. she asked me did I have a Dr. I preferred, I picked him because at my orientation they said he did the most sleeves. He is a very good Dr. I am having great weight loss and no problems but with that said I haven't heard anything bad about the other surgeons. You can ask if you can switch not sure how that works or you speak with the Dr. about your concerns and see if that would help. If you have any other questions feel free to ask I'm willing to help! -

I had my surgery on the 23rd. Everything went well I pretty much had no pain. I was giving anti nausea meds before surgery so I haven't had to deal with that. Today is my second day home and the only pain I have is from the gas. I been walking and resting. I have been trying to get in all my fluids, it's not that it's hard I just don't want it. I haven't tried jello yet but I have some ginger tea and it's the best. Oh and I do have a band I've been wearing and it helps a lot keeps everything tight.
