Thanks! I'm rooting for you - that stall will end soon!

Sounds like carbs.

Looks good.

Biotene mouth spray didn't really help as much as I had hoped. If you think it may be the artificial sweeteners check the sugar-free cough drops - they probably contain artificial sweeteners too.

Premiere protein shakes!
bobheist replied to kim2002's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I like them a lot and had one every morning for the breakfast for the eight months or so. I like the chocolate better than the vanilla, both they're both okay to me. -
I want one! All if your dishes look great -- and speaking if great looking dishes: Laura Ven, your new pic is even hotter than the previous one.

Where to get protein foods and samples
bobheist replied to MacMadame's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
This is a great thread - even for people far out from surgery (I'm 9 months post-op). If you call Quest (or email probably) they'll send you a few sample Protein bars. I didn't use much at all in the beginning, but lately I've been having one as Breakfast and enjoy them. I also like that they're chock full of Fiber. -
I had this problem for weeks after surgery (it has gotten much better) and I agree with the person who is using sugar-free cough drops - they really came in handy for me. I still carry a few in my pocket when I walk.

Who hated protein powder but found a good on?
bobheist replied to Fit2btied's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I really like the Isopure powder (not the pre-made fruity flavored ones in the glass bottles) - I use one scoop of the carb free creamy vanilla and blend it with ice, decaf coffee and a bit of sugar-free pudding mix or Torani syrup. -
Way to go!

My vitamins alone have 23 or so grams of carbs -- that's before having any food.

My dietician told me that 6th - 12th months post-op I should use 90 grams of carbs per day as my guideline. She said after one year the guideline is 130 grams per day.

Height, weight and loss
bobheist replied to Fit2btied's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Height = 6'3" Highest weight = 367 Surgery weight = 350 Today's weight = 190 Surgery date = 12/19/2012 I'm just about 9 months out and I've lost 177 pounds. -
My dietician told me that no one was ever going to put the money up to fund a study on straws -- she said to try, and if there's no problem, use them. I waited a few weeks after surgery and have been using straws since with no issues. I agree (for me) that using a straw helps me get in more fluids easily.

I think that's: Breakfast - Snack - Lunch - Snack - Dinner

Has anyone bought/tried these? Reviews? Thank you!

My thrilling NSV (which demonstrates how lame I am!) is using the dryer. I hadn't ever used it for fear that my clothes would shrink.

From what I've come to understand the Quest bars offer the most bang for your buck nutritionally. They're high in protein and fiber and make a good meal replacement. If you call them I believe they'll sound you a few for free as a sample pack.

My husband is killing me!
bobheist replied to GBFree82's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
My nut told me that straws are fine for some people. She said that no one is ever going to pony up money to conduct a serious straw research study. I didn't use one for the first few weeks after surgery -- then I tried, and didn't have any problems. -
The nutrition facts of the Quest differ with the flavors. Some use sugar alcohols while flavors don't. They range in calories, etc also.
