September Sleevers...! Come on in and chat!
Waltd120 replied to birdmadgirl's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sleeved on 9/11 and I Have lost a combined total (pre op and post op) 48lbs. But like a poster stated before, I mow get acid reflux with just about everything I eat. But a small price to pay in my opinion. -

The stall is normal. It comes and goes. -

Let me rephrase, I have mild body aches similar to the flu just not as extreme. Very slight nausea, keeping things down and a low grade fever. To me it feels like a bug. Just hoping someone has an answer for me. -

Oh. I am 35 days post op. I have dropped 40lbs in a stall right now but have never had an issue from day one. Just hope it is a minor stomach bug. -

OK. Need some info. A Guy at work was sick a few days ago and now I believe I have what he had. I was at work and started to feel nausea and joint pain all over but mostly in my lower back and legs. I am now running a fever of 100 but don't feel bad or miserable.. I recently had some constipation and strained a bit but nothing harsh. Just hope I caught what he had and not the symptoms of a leak. -
I was cleared to workout and may have strained a stomach muscle. I have a pain in my lower left abdomen. No nausea, fever, or dizziness just a pain when I move a certain way or put pressure on it. Anyone else experience this?

This started a couple of days ago. Like I said, no other symptoms except that twinge of pain from time to time. I wish I had an answer. I don't think its a leak since there are no other symptoms. -

I'm 3 weeks out and it feels like I pulled a muscle in my lower left abdomen. I'm not feeling nausea, dizziness, fever or anything other than the twinge when I move a certain way or sneeze. Anyone else experience this? -
My knees are shot but get a small walk in each day and use 5lb wieghts while sitting doing nothing. But I really want to get back on my bike and in the gym. I'm only 6 days post op but I am raring to go!

Red I have the same problem. I'm not obsessed with eating I just don't feel the restriction. I get all my water in and protein shakes, jell-o no problem. I've felt so good that I dabbled in soft foods, tomato soup, refried beans etc. I guess my key is limiting it to no more than a 1/4 cup at a time. No pain or discomfort and feeling good. But I have read of others who can't tolerate this. Go figure? -

Had mine on the 11th. So far so good. Not having any problems. And that has me worried, did it work? -
I'm just a couple days post op and find that I can handle small amounts of regular food with no real upset. Is this normal? I don't feel nausea, just not interested and stop eating.
-
I will. And thanks for the quick replys!
-
I know. I just thought I would be feeling different, more uneasy I guess. I had no problem waking after surgery, a little discomfort but not bad and no problems with the food.
-
Nothing over a 1/4 cup.

OK, sounds good. I will wind it back a few weeks. Just wondering why it seems like my stomach will handle it. To be honest, I had a steel stomach to begin with, it could handle anything and not flinch. LOL But that is also what brought me to the sleeve. Thanks for the feedback!

I tried it because at the hospital I had no problems keeping down water and the broths that they brought and never felt nausea. My doctor said I could try to move forward but use my better judgement. Basicly, if your stomach doesn't like it then stop. I was wondering if anyone else was able to move thru the food progression like this as well?

I'm only a couple of days post open, sleeved on 9-11. But I can already handle some foods in small amounts. Lite string cheese, tomato soup and things of that ilk. I guess my question is, is this normal?
