  1. Hey guys, it's ok to be a lil nervous, that's natural. I was nervous too. But I hated what I looked like. I avoided mirrors at all cost, now I can't stay out the mirror. I love my results. Your day is almost here and if I have any questions about anything I am here as so is the rest of your Sleeve Family. Keep in touch. God Bless!
  2. These are my before and after 4 months later.
  3. Yes I did go on a liquid diet two weeks prior to surgery, now that was very hard. I was stressed out big time. But I had to do it cause my health means a lot to me. I was going no where real fast so that was my motivation, to get off all the medicine and get my health back on track. If I can do it anybody can.
  4. Great job, great results.
  5. Thank you Kelley, and I am proud, very proud. I will never go back to that other person again.
  6. Thank you everyone, yes I did look pregnant no doubt, but I can look back on those pictures and smile now because It shows me how far I've come and how blessed i am to have been able to have a plan and the determination to make this story have a great ending. See after the surgery it's all up to you to follow doctors orders, walk, walk, walk, eat healthy, smaller portions and eat real slow, take your vitamins and drink your water, a lot of water. Have a plan so that you can determine the outcome of what you will look like afterwards. Yes hard work & determination does pay off. Someone inspired me and my hopes that my story will inspire anyone else on this site that needs it. Thank you!
  7. This is what i looked like. Fat, tired and disgusted. I felt like garbage. I was and taking 5 shots of insulin through the stomach daily and taking 13 pills. i had sleep apnea, type 2 diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis and high blood pressure along with being overweight. I have been on a mission ever since the surgery. See the last picture. thats what i look like now. After working and hitting the gym hard 7 days a week I'm down from 268 to 202 in just 3 months, and now I can finally say. "IM BACK" Today i am not on Any More Medication At All.
  8. Wow, that's just fantastic. I love stories like these. Congratulations.
  9. Hey guys, I was sleeved on January 16th and have not had any problems. Today I made the mistake of forgetting about my situation and drank 3 big gulps of water and immediately afterwards I had this pain in my chest so sharp it felt like I was choking and couldn't breath for about 3-5 minutes. Maybe after 5 minutes I let out a big burp and the pain went away. Now I know why they say don't gulp sip. Has anyone else had this problem? And when will it stop doing that?
  10. Hey guys, hang in there. I too was not feeling the protein shakes but i had to keep trying different varieties and flavors until I finally found one that I can tolerate. It is so so important to get at least 60 grams of protein in your system a day. Cream of chicken soup was so good while I was on liquids. You can do this cause u have no choice. Change your mindset because if u believe u can't do it u won't. I was where u were at too. I just made up my mind that this is what I wanted, and now that I have did the surgery I'm gonna make my mind up to do what I gotta do. Stay in touch and lets get that protein down. I have no regrets and neither will u. Take care ladies and good luck.
  11. It's a beautiful day outside. It's been 6 weeks since my sleeve surgery. Do you guys think its too soon for jogging?
  12. Hi guys, I was sleeved on January 16th. I have been doing just fine and its the best decision I have ever made. I'm getting in my protein everyday and I'm eating just fine. I was 265 pounds before surgery and I'm down as of today to 215 pounds. That's right I've lost 50 pounds since surgery and I'm even in the gym doing light lifting. I was totally disgusted with how I looked and how I felt but today I feel good, and I love the reflection I see when I look in the mirror now. Good luck and much success to the rest of you guys.

    what have I done?

Listen here, don't u dare panic on us now. I am absolutely positively sure u made the right choice because u wanted to have long term better health. I also had those same thoughts that crossed my mind when I wanted to dig in on a double cheeseburger with fries. That's also the kind of foods that got me in trouble with my health. It gets better, after u saw the weight coming off it made me realize why I did this in the first place. I hated what I had become and what I looked like. I love what I look like and love how I feel now. I can't stop looking in the mirror smiling. Stay strong and hang in there baby. It was rough for me in the beginning but we knew it was gonna be rough but also knew it would get better as the days go by. Keep me posted and good luck to u.
  16. Listen, I had some of the same concerns as you had. I mentally prepared myself for this life altering and life saving surgery for better long term health. What's done is done now, pull it together sweetheart cause your gonna be alright in a minute. I read the responses to your thread and I gotta tell ya, I agree with them all. You got some good suggestions and good advice on this subject.
