I am a very private person, have only told some family and only 2 co-workers about my VSG. I ran in to a co worker that I have not seen for about 4months and he stated how great I looked after loosing weight , then asked ,"did u have surgery?" Right away I answered with a lie and denied it . Why do I feel so guilty ?

4 months out and it is coming out like crazy esp. After i shower and brush it out my brush is full of hair . I think im just going to go get it cut too. Been taking all my vits and protein but still coming out

U can still use that because God forbid u do need your gallbladder out later its ok . Just because u have your gallbladder out doesnt mean you still cant get a stone stuck in your common bile duct and that taken care of . Your ok if u use that.

I know its none of their buisness just was caught off guard with the blunt outright gull ! Thanks for all the positive comments guys . Im still learning how to react to peoples questions . I have been telling them diet and working out which is the truth . Just dont know where the shame comes from ? I have been over weight my whole life and have failed many diets lost 80 pounds then gain back 80 and then some . I think its just the negative stigma wt loss surgery has . When I told close family and friends some said why dont u just diet and exercise . Crap !!!! been there done that my whole life and failed . I know that I just have to learn to except that i really dont have to care what everyone else thinks, this is my life and so far I m loving life as a healthy thin person. My surgery was May 1st and so far have lost 61 # starting wt was 257 and current wt is 196. I finally reached onederland !!!!

I had Dr Alamanza and doing just fine . No it wasnt a "hospital" but i wasnt surprised more like a day surgery clinic. Im happy no complications thus far , 50 # lost since May 1. Curious as to why u didnt have a good experience?

I told my PCP prior to mine he was not happy about Mexico cause he had no way of knowing how good my surgeon was . I told him i did had researched well and he was very supportive . Saw me after surgery and ordered labs for me . I think u should be up front with your Dr.

Try costco brand premeir protein shakes . 30gm of protein in each they taste good and only need 2 a day to get your min amt. of protein a day

Go to Mexico ! You set your own date . I was sleeved 5/1/13 have lost 50# loving my new life

I love it when they come to ask "is everything ok" cause i cant finish all my food .

I know what u mean. When we go out we order one plate and ask for an extra plate and they look at us like we are crazy

The best and easiest for me is premeier protein shakes from costco . 30gm protein so if i can at least drink 2 of those aday im getting my protein vitamins ect... But i take b12 sublingual and a multi vit everyday. I strugle with water ! Dont get enough ever

I was sleeved may 1 , down 47 # . I too have problems sometime and vomit but i know its because i didnt chew enough and ate too fast . Trying to get used to my stomache when it tells me Im full but the fat person inside wants another bite lol.

That happens to me too if I dont chew it up enough. Been really hard for me to take small bites put the fork down and wait a few minutes before the next bite. I have always rushed when eating only chew 2-3 times and then swallow. Turkey meatballs in marina dauce then topped with cheese . I can only eat 2 but very good .

Try taking mylanta or pepto

Wow i ate smoked ousters today guess too fast cause it felt like it got stuck in my chest with horrible pain and had to throw it up . I hope mine stretches so i can eat again. Did this ever happen to u ?

I am 15 days out and felt the same way . It will get better just keep hydrated try popcicles they were a life saver . I didnt even do sugar free at this point u need all the sugar calories u can keep in . Also chicken broth helped. Im down 23 pounds started puree diet today had a poached egg this am and it was awesome to finally have something other than liquid. I do find myself eating too fast and i feel it in my chest . I have to remind myself to slow down . Just hang in there but if nausea and vomiting persist u may need some IV fluids . Good luck hope u feel better soon .

Yes i have had headaches too. But i think its from not enough water sip sip sip.

Was sleeved May 1 , boy was I bloated and the pressure and gas pains at times were unbearable. Then to have to vomit with the sore stomache i felt i was dying. And yes I have given birth naturaly x 2 my first was 9 # . So i know pain , this was very painful and guess what non narcotic pains meds are given in Mexico TJ. The first 2 days were the worst and if u asked me a week ago if I would do it again I prob would hesitate. Just glad Im home and feeling 100% better. Just cant wait to start to seeing the results. I dont mean to scare anyone but I feel like I never was really told how painful this procedure is and can be for some. Kudos 2 the ones that did better than I did. Best of luck to all on our journey

Had my sleeve May first . First 2 days have been bad horrible gas pains in my chest . Walking helps but had some broth today and that really helped as i was so drained.

Yes headaches for the first 2 days of liquid diet . On day 4 def. alot better now not really hungry but i too have the whale sounds in my stomache . Sleeve schedualed for May 1st cant wait. Prayers for me please so nervous
