skinnywannab replied to takingbackcontrol's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I started out at 216! I had my surgery in Mexico on January 16th! I am 46 years old and like many of you, I had yo yo dieted for years! My weight loss doctor here in Manhattan KS said it was more unhealthy for me to yoyo. Than it was to just stay fat! So.... I decided to do my homework with my doctors help and decided onGastric Sleeve Surgery in Mexico! A friend went with me and the surgery went great! I am 6 months out today and I have lost 46 lbs! I couldn't be happier!! -
January 2013 Sleevers

Hello!! I had my surgery on January 16th. I have lost 46 lbs and couldn't be happier! I love my new life!! I have been at a plateau for a few weeks, but continue to exercise 4days a week for an hour and continue taking my vitamins and I do still eat some of the foods I love but in smaller portions! I love being able to taste the foods I love but not be able to overdo it or overeat!! Keep working hard! It pays off! Don't be so hard on yourself! You are doing great! I agree you are working out too much!! I don't think any trainer or medical professional would agree that it's healthy to spend 6 hours a day exercising! I think I would be totally depressed if I were doing that and not losing!! -

Would You Have Weight Loss Surgery Again?
skinnywannab replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I agree!! I tried forever to lose weight! I did the yo yo up and down for years!! This surgery has done everything for me that I needed it to! Even though I have had to make changes in my lifestyle as you do with all weight loss programs, it has been so worth it! I am wearing clothes I haven't wore or fit into in years, I feel great, more confident and am exercising at a gym without feeling like I'm the fat girl!! I just pray I don't stretch my pouch and continue to do well!! -

Would You Have Weight Loss Surgery Again?

I had my surgery January 16th with Dr Oritz and I am sooooo pleased! I am down 33 lbs and the surgery has been the answer to my problems! It has controlled my binge eating! My only complaint is that eating out is no fun! Socializing is difficult! Alcoholic beverages are not tolerated at all and since we can't eat and drink at the same time anymore it's awkward at times!! But overall I am very happy! I am in clothes that haven't fit me in years and feeling really good!! -

I was sleeved on Jan 16th and have lost only 17 lbs, I'm a little frustrated but feeling good! I'm a little over 3 weeks out so need to start exercising! I have made a plan for this week, so hopefully this will help me through this stall! Wish me luck!
