  1. This may have already been a topic...if so I apologize. In November I had my lapband taken out (due to malfunction and esophageal dilation). March 24 I completed the conversion to the sleeve. What are others experiencing for weight-loss thus far (timeline for weightloss)? I'm back to working out running 2-3 miles twice a week and walking or bike riding the other days. I'm also doing lower body sculpting exercise (I'm not cleared for weights yet). I've been doing this for 2 weeks now. Since surgery I've only lost 15lbs (starting weight 211 and I just started soft food today). What am I doing wrong? Is this a normal pace for weightloss? Will it pick up now that I'm on to "real food"? Any tips/pointers appreciated. I know I'm not starting at a high BMI but I anticipated this would be a quicker process (as I have an active lifestyle and have changed the foods we eat)
  2. I know I didn't become obese overnight and losing it will take time. I'm just so ready for the "big payoff"
  3. I'm in the same position. This is a great way to look at it. I'm down 15lbs a month out with an end goal of 61lbs. This puts my journey in perspective! Make healthy choices get active and it will fall in line.
  4. Nurse said it sounds normal. Wash with soap and water and don't put anything on it. Let it get air. If it goes south over the weekend go to urgent care.
  5. Earlier today I noticed that one of my incisions has a red circle around it and is slightly warm. Will it be okay to wait until the Am to call dr? The pic doesn't do a very good job showing the redness...
  6. I think I was having a reaction to the glue. I've put hydrocortisone on the red part. If not better tomorrow I will be calling the Dr (she's not on the office today-it's a surgery day).
  7. Thanks for the advice. Was really hoping for smooth sailing
