jacee replied to LipstickLady's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Wow you have done well with your weight loss. (BTW I cleaned my closet yesterday too. My old 18's fit me pefect now, Did they use to make them smaller? lol) Did you have a pre-op diet, if so how much did you loose and how long was it? If its ok for me to ask. -
Are you crazy?? LOL before this surgery if you could have told me I could loose 71 pounds in only 8 months I would have kissed your feet! Thats a little over 8 pounds a month.

Alcohol tolerance...
jacee replied to soccergirl88's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My alcohol tolerance is almost zero. I drank a glass of wine, and I am at my limit. And drinking that glass takes me a while. Kindove sucks, miss going out and taking a couple shots with my friends. Beer no way, I have had zero carbonation so I dont drink it. Im pretty sure hard alcohol would get me so drunk that I would be on the floor. Maybe all this happened becuase I have not had it in while, so my tolerance is lower, or maybe because it absorbs in my tiny stomache faster... Either way I hope thier comes a day when I can drink at least one drink without feeling so buzzed... -

Sleeved w/ Rhuematoid Arthritis and Fybromyalgia
jacee replied to Amma's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I was diagnosed with Lupus nearly 20 years ago. I have not had a flare up since surgery almost 3 months ago. I also do not take any meds for my Lupus. Steroids made me crazy and made me gain weight. All the other meds were just trial and their was always something new and It just was not worth it to me. I would rather get through a day or so of pain then take a pill everyday for something I dont feel every day. As for the energy preop somedays every so often I would feel 100% cant get out of bed exhaustion, some days I would wake up with the lupus rash on my face. Im not saying that loosing weight is a cure for Lupus obviously its not, When I was diagnosed I weighed 135-140. And its the normal course to go in and out of remission. I am telling you this becuase fibromyalgia and Lupus seem to be similar, my mom was first diagnosed with fibromyalgia, only to be later diagnosed with Lupus. Lupus is not a one blood test, it takes a series of tests over a period of time to come up with the final diagnosis. My energy level is dependent on the amount of sleep I get, the amount of excersize, the amount of protein and vitamins I take. Sometimes It just doesent matter and I am not good for that day. Good luck with your journey. Lupus and Fibromyalgia ppl are silent sufferers, no one can see the amount of pain and exhaustion you endure, and it can be mentally very difficult. -
Well that day I did 20 minutes eliptical Then yesterday I walked for 30 minutes. Just take the first step and your mind follows I guess. Thanks for checking on me. I knew if I said it out loud, I would be held accountable.

Loosing the weight and I don't like my shape
jacee replied to ljperez's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was thinking the same thing. Im shrinking into an odd shape as well. Not the 28 year old hot body shape I had imagined. I obviously have alot more weight to loose, but I dont want the deflated balloon look. Im not sure how everyone affords to go out and get all this plastic surgery afterwords, I have a good job and income, and I still dont think I can afford it. Is anyones insurance covering these after weight loss lifts and such? Are you getting done in Mexico? Whats the secret to most ppl getting plastics when the weight is all gone? -

Go girl! -
I am sorry ppl are jumping on you about asking about Bougie size I was curious too- Its a fair and reasonable concern, but all questions on here on fair and reasonable really. Its really not anyones place to lecture you about whether or not to be concerned about it. This is supposed to be a positive support group not lecture or make fun of your questions or curiousities.

Breast Reduction/Lift *Graphic Pics
jacee replied to DEZ1975's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Yes although, of course that would require another surgery. Its more noticeable as I loose weight. I dont think my insurance would cover it, although I feel my surgeon did not do a very good job of that area. I have googled others left with the same situation after this surgery, its like the fat or breast tissue fell back to that area and the just sewed it up. Like peaks of tissue built up about 5 inches long and 1inch high witht the surgery scar on top. Not pretty. -

jacee replied to DEZ1975's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I had this done to about 6 years ago. Its so liberating being able to make bra wearing optional at least around the house and once in while out and about. My only problem was that the surgery left me with "wings" leading back to my arms where the surgery scars go almost to my armpit. its like a couple inches. of well fat. I hate it. -
feb 2013 sleevers weigh in
jacee replied to kathyhalls's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sleeved 2-28 down 45 pounds. No pre-op diet. Hoping for 5 pound loss by 5-28 for a total of 50 pounds in 3 months. My birthday is in another 12 weeks Could I possibly loose another 50 pounds? I honestly dont know. Sometimes this weight loss seems so slow, other times, like this week, so fast. Just grateful and appreciative -
You look too good to turn back now take it one day at a time

1. Being able to bend over and reach the floor for something in car w/o feeling like I'm bending over an inner tube and barely able to grasp what I am reaching for. 2. Walking in a clothing store feeling EXCITED not dread 3. Having my husbands friend tell him, man your wife is hot. 4. Looking in the mirror seeing my thin face appear more and more day after day and not looking away because I am disgusted with my chubby cheeks. 5. Not knocking everything over in the shower with my big butt...lol 6. Not avoiding ppl I have known for years at the grocery store, because I don't want them to see how fat I have gotten (ouch that was honest) 7. Not being afraid to walk into the school or a sporting event ashamed of my size. 8. Not just putting my hair in a bun because I gave up, but instead blowing it out and styling it. 9. Wearing colors other than black (this is one of my favorites) 10. Not wearing stretchy pants everyday. Thank you lord.. I feel human again.

jacee replied to ready2inspire's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Nope I live in a small town and most ppl have lived here their whole life w/o ever visiting the "big city" the news would spread like wildfire, then they would add on that the reason I had to get the sleeve was because I had an incurable venereal disease..that I got from...well you get the idea...nope my lips are sealed. -
I ziplined in the jungle in Mexico..at 248, the cute Mexican guys huffed and puffed pulled and tugged untill they got that sucker on me (I am pretty sure they were saying GRANDE under their breath to each other) I saw the other ladies in the line who were larger than me looking like they were standing in line to get their toe nails peeled off
