I understand why it's to reduce the chances of complications during surgery, specifically to shrink the liver and I'm good with that, but I feel what your saying.

Thank you actually it's been really comfortable because it still allows me time to change my eating habits slowly ...so it will happen, but thanks again for your encourageing words.

No...just went for ekg last Tue....so I'm expecting a call within the next 2-3 weeks. Hopefully.

Shout out to my Options Program sis & bros. Finshed Options on Jan 30th. Have not met surgeon yet but I will be sleeved at Kaiser South Bay. PITFALL: Letter from Options RN stating mu vitimin D is still low and I need to repeat my labs in 6 weeks. I'm assuming that I won't meet the surgeon until my vitimin D is normal.

Oh wow, I'm surprised they didn't take the 17lb wt loss you achieved in Options into consideration. That's the first I've heard of that, but theres always a downside to every story...I'm happy to see that you conquered that in the end..Well I went for my EKG on Tue and down 8lbs...as of this morning I'm down 11lbs. 2 weeks ago to day 325...today 314..so I'm on the road to victory. So hopefully my surgeon takes this wt loss into consideration. Thanks again for the encouragement

Aww, sorry I hope this all passes soon. I'm sure I'll have very emotional days. People tell me I really have no idea until it's done and I so believe them...What makes you cry? Frustration? mourning? pain? Like what's a day in the life of ebonisekim post op?

Girl ppl don't seem to like it when you keep 100 on this site....I was very close to going ham on a few ppl but that's not why I joined the site...I did because I'm fat and close to my surgery day, and I wanted to see and understand the different experiences and challenges ppl have overcome, one being share info or not... I surely don't feel like your a bad example if you don't. But I'm just like don't give me any info if your gonna chop it up...You feel me..and that lady kept riding me quoting me taking *hit all extra personal....and I had to exercise restraint and not go ham.....thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Typo: are not comfortable

Most people are comfortable talking about how they got fat so why would they dicuss how they lost weight.. Now those that choose to not give all the facts by saying I lost wt through exercise and diet might as not say anything at all....true exercise and diet is a major factor but you had WLS. I feel like if your going to leave major details then keep it to yourself. Most ppl leave Wls out because they don't want to hear negative comments or their afraid of someone saying it's the easy way....I have a strong personality and the world will know I had WLS....but I can't see someone only giving out part of the information that makes them look good or feel accepted. Everyday all day someones buying titties and altering their body so why can't I buy a healthier body....IJS

Made some progress as of this morning I'm down 6lbs. So I think if I can drop another 10 that should help. Looking through my Options notes my instructor stated the surgeon expects a pound a week (12lbs) but would like to see more. She said 1-2 pounds a week is realistic......Thanks ladies for your info and response.

I completed my class on Jan 30th 2013...and needless to say I didn't lose the 10% of my body weight....since class ended I've gained 3lbs. Haven't met surgeon yet...but scheduled for ekg and x-ray this Tue. I'm wondering will they still do the surgery even tho I have not lost the weight?
