I have been having liquids. Juices, soups, water & protein shake. I don't get why the weight isn't going down. When does the weight starting going down after surgery?
-
I'm so confused! Don't laugh but I honestly think the doc may have removed some other part of my body. I started feeling back to normal the day after getting home from the hospital And had no problems drinking. I have even felt hungry and wanted food. I saw my doc 7 days post and he said the stitches were healing fine and 2 weeks post op I could start on mashed potatoes etc... Now the problem is that I have only lost 10lbs since pre op diet which I started 6 days prior. Is that too little? I feel considering I'm barely eating anything, I should be losing more. Plus all the weighing scales are giving me different numbers.

Oh and u forgot to mention that I've only lost 10lbs since 2 weeks(which is 1week of pre op & 1 week post) Is that too little?

Hey everyone Tomorrow it'll be 1 week since I got sleeved. The first 2 days I was dull & emotional but then on, I ft back to normal with no pain or discomfort. Only issue I have about the sleeve is that I'm craving solid food & biggest problem is I can't carry my kids:( I go to see my doc tomorrow for him to check stitches. I hope everything is ok inside & out. Do any of you know that if I've done the leak X-ray test the morning after surgery... It won't happen later?

Finally!!!! after crying & being nervous. I had my surgery on feb 6th at 9.30am. Was in the recovery room at 10.30. Groggy all day but quite awake & normal. Obviously the pain killers were working. I had the Leak X-ray test the next morning and it was all ok. Got home and for about 24 hours I was just so emotional and cried a lot because I was scared of the next few months with 2 kids and no lifting them. That's my only worry! I feel physically fine with no pain and discomfort. I'm on a liquid diet for 15 days post op and then to soft foods which I just cannot wait for. I am still hungry and missing foods. Is it normal? -
Romans I had my surgery a day before you. I have 2 kids too. 5 years and 18 months and its so difficult not being able to carry them or push them away when they come closer. How much time has your doc asked you not to lift or not get kicked by your kids?

Hi all I had my surgery yesterday. Had many weeks of emotional turmoil with lots of crying and nervousness. I got home this afternoon and been so weak and uneasy in the stomach. I feel so bloated and gassy. I've read it's normal but how long does this feeling last? I have 2 small kids and I just don't have the energy to smile and be happy around them. Feel so guilty. Is it normal to feel more gassy when I sip something? I hope everything's ok.

Surgery confirmed for feb 6th and freaking out
mrs.msp posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm sure lot of you must have a zillion questions and worries just like me. I am generally a very paranoid person so I'm freaking out even more. I have 2 kids and I'm afraid I won't be able to do much with and for them post op. I had a few questions for the people that have gone through the surgery... How bad is it after? I mean what do you feel once you wake up? I've read that people feel pain and discomfort... Wondering if its the stitches that hurt or is it the inside of your stomach that hurts? I am worried that Ill have a tough time not being able to eat good(fatty) foods and ill feel depressed about it. I'm doing a pre op diet and its bloody tough. Anyone out there with similar concerns? -
Sleeve on feb 6th(nervous and scared to death)

I'm getting my surgery done on 6th at 8am and like all of you, I'm worried and nervous too. I have 2 kids. 5 years and 18 months and I'm told that I can't carry my children for a few months because of the stitches. It's a difficult thing ... Anyone else have a similar problem? I'm also worried about the pre-op diet. I'm used to eating such horrible fatty foods and to literally starve for 7 days prior to surgery is scary.
