  1. I don't eat cheese often but when I do, it's the real deal. No fat free cheese for me. I also can't do crystal light or any similar beverage made by adding something (liquid, powder) to water. They are too artificial tasting, imo.

    Stop sipping

Your body will tell you when it is ready to consume a greater amount of liquid at a time. It will either happily accept it or unceremoniously refuse to cooperate.

    My Surgery Experience

It sounds like you are adjusting quite nicely. Congratulations and welcome to the land of the sleeved!
  13. It is like that during healing. I didn't get the full signal until about 6 or 7 weeks post op. I still don't really get a hungry feeling almost 4 months out, but I believe that I'll likely change too.

    Goal weight question

When I was in college, I was a trained Peer Health Counselor. We did all kinds of health consulting with students and we had target weights for both men and women. Our guideline for women was 100 lbs. for the first 5 feet of height and then an additional 5 lbs. for each inch above. For men, it was 100 lbs. for the first 5 feet of height and then an additional 10 lbs. for each inch above. In both cases we could go + or - 10% for body type and bone structure. Keep in mind this was for college age kids. I don't know if the guideline would be the same for folks above college age. I don't know if that is correct, but it has been my guideline forever and it happens to coincide with my and my surgeons goals for by weight loss. At the end of the day, it is your decision and only about how you feel at whatever size you are. Hope it helps others.

    Drinking with meals

I believe the thinking is that not drinking for 30 minutes after eating keeps the food in your stomach for a longer period of time, thereby keeping you full a little longer. Food generally begins to travel I to the small intestines 30 minutes after eating.
  19. I am almost 4 months post op and I started feeling full at about 6 weeks after surgery. Before that, full felt like something was stuck in my throat and needs to come back up. I imagine you will get the full feeling o once you are better healed. Hang in there!
  20. Yep, the feet shrink and I am so sad because I love my shoe collection...but then again, new opportunity to go shopping!

Did you have a bun on the burger? If so, it may have been the bread.

    Today!

    Great job! Awesome.
  23. I weigh myself every Sunday morning after I wake up and use the restroom. Only once per week. Any more than that and I would likely be a very unpleasant person.
