I can cross my legs again at my thigh and double cross at my ankles! I am smaller and weigh less than any man I would date. I feel great! I can finally acknowledge that I look good and say 'thank you'. A friend told me last Friday that I look10 years younger! Woot, woot!

At 6 months, I think I was down 90 or 100 pounds. -
Don't worry about it, though I understand how you feel. One cookie won't derail you and tomorrow is a new day!

How open were you about your surgery before and after?
nsquared replied to Superfluous's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I felt and still it was a personal decision. The only people I told are my parents. It wasn't necessarily shame. Just that I don't want to hear negative comments and it really is no one's business. I am pretty private generally. It may have shocked people if I told them. -
I eat a homemade spinach salad with grilled salmon or chicken every day and I probably started doing that around 8 weeks. I love salads and while I don't buy pre-made or restaurant ones I have them all the time. It's amazing how you can Protein them up with goat cheese, meat, Beans and make them interesting with salsa, avocado/guacamole, seeds/nuts... These are generally not huge salads. Can't get down too much. I just have a hard time sitting down to a plate of lone protein.

nsquared replied to trudyjo's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hang in there. It's a step towards your sleeve and at the end of the journey, and even through much of it, you will feel awesome and be incredibly proud of yourself for going though it. -
Your progress is something to be proud of! Celebrate it. You're amazing.

I had surgery in February and I was not nervous at all either. I was confident in my decision and believed the surgery would be positive. Fortunately, it was and has been.

We have very similar stats and I'm just a few inches taller. I started at 274 lbs. you have to work the program, follow the rules and it does work. -
