    Congrats girl! Rock it!
  5. I figured the unflavored Unjury powder would work quite well. I am glad it did @jennlg2.

    Bougie Size and Restriction

My doc used a 36 boogie on me. I generally get all my liquids in (it literally takes ALL day), but I'm not getting nearly enough protein.

I am going through a cold right now and have both dayquil and nyquil and sudafed with no problem...but I should mention, I did not ask for permission in advance. (nn)

    Unflavored Isopure?

Unflavored Isopure powder is definitely unflavored, but it does best in cooler temps. Warm and hot temps may cause it to clump. (nn)
  9. I have had that feeling when I eat / drink too fast or too much. Unfortunately, it usually results in me vomiting.
  10. Cute, cute cute! Rock on girl! (nn)

    C pap Gone ! Zzzzzzz

Congratulations both of you! I love these victories.
  13. I was told 6 small meals even if one of those meals is simply a bite of something. I usually end up consuming about 4 teeny meals though, but I am only 32 days post op. (nn)

    Amazing. Congratulations. (nn)
  15. Not for me. I did not have any shots once I left the hosptial.
  16. I can tell you I am 31 days post op and I do have to set reminders to eat...even if eating is only a bite of something. My understanding is that some ghrelin remains but nowhere close to previous levels because the fundus is removed.

    5 Confessions (Join In)

I confess 31 days post op, 42lbs down, I am enjoying the feeling of my slacks and pants sliding off my @$$. For some reason it amuses me. Not a great look but it gives me a kick! I confess to being a little fanatical about working out every day. I confess to thinking this is the best thing I have done for myself and as a cash patient, it was worth every penny! I confess I don't think I eat enough and even though it doesn't bother me, I feel I should eat more. I confess I had a bite of a friends Five Guys burger yesterday (delish!) and it was all I needed to remind myself there is no reason to eat like that any more. It would literally take me 6 days to eat one of their little cheeseburgers! I find that amazing.

When are we really in the "clear"?

I had my 30 post op appointment yesterday and specifically asked if I am out of danger for leaks and stricture. I was told I should not be concerned about that anymore, but full healing and scarring for the sleeve is about 8 weeks. I think I might have an aggressive surgeon because I was also given clearance to begin cardio 1 week post op and yesterday, I was given clearance to begin strength training. It seems all surgeons have their own take on things and it is possible they tailor it to the patient. Fortunately, I am feeling good, so I just go with his instructions.

    How will i know?

I use the Unjury unflavored but I have only added it to cold beverages. Had a bad experience with protein curdling in hot beverages. Unjury is pretty flavorless and I can tolerate it at 30 days post op.

What to buy? Vitamins, Shakes, Hair care

There is an official "what you will need for surgery" thread....http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/topic/10081-the-official-what-you-will-need-for-your-gastric-sleeve-surgery-thread/ is the link. I found it very helpful. Any beauty items besides deoderant, toothbrush, toothpaste and harirbrush are probably unnecessary, imo. Good luck.
  22. My guess, based on my own experience is that as long as those pills are not large, you can start re-taking them today...but a nurse hotline is a great idea for real medical advise.
