    V8

I had a V8 around 7 or 8 weeks post op and it was fine. I sipped slowly and only drank about 1/3 but I had no problems with it.

    Slider foods

Popcorn is a slider for me too. I can eat the whole popped bag, so like you, I don't do it. In fact I've only done it 2x when the high Protein, low carb thing was causing severe insomnia.

I have not taken ibp since I was sleeved; however, my surgeon does permit me to take ibp as long as I do so with food or milk.

    Need help! Ive blown it!

Earlier today, someone posted a link to a WLS website that they believe could be a useful resource to those of us who have been sleeved. Here's the link: http://www.bariatriceating.com/ I poked around it and think it a great place to reset your course. I liked the site so much, I bookmarked it, even though I have a plan that is working for me right now. They provide all sorts of nutritional and eating plan information. They also provide guidance for the post op eating stages. You may find some of their information helpful in getting you back on track. Good luck.

    Menu planning website

What a fantastic website. Thanks for sharing. Love the recipes.
  18. I am 3 months post op and vomited quite a bit through about week 8. This does not have to happen to you though. I believe much of my issues were related to bites that were too big, not chewing enough and eating faster than I should. The sleeve takes some time to adjust to. The sooner you adjust the way you eat (specifically, the things I didn't do well above) the better off you will be. Now that I have gotten a good rhythm, I am able to keep all my food down and have not had a problem in about a month. There is an adjustment period though...at least there was for me.

    please be honest

Everyone has a different threshold for pain and I think mine is fairly high. That being said, I was sleeved February 4, 2013 and had a hiatal hernia repaired during that surgery. Because of the meds administered in the hospital, I was ok the day of the surgery and the day after. I could feel the pain and movement was a little tough, but I did move/walk a good amount without any assistance at all once I got out of recovery. Day two post op, I was back home and self medicating with the prescribed liquid narcotic. It was prescribed for use every 6 hours and I only took it every 8 hours. Day three, I took it every 6 hours. This was my worst pain day. Day four, extra-strength Tylenol was all I needed. I had surgery on a Monday and I stopped taking Rx and OTC pain medication the following Friday and was back at work the following week on Tuesday. Again, everyone will have a different experience, but that was mine.
  23. You look fantastic! Congratulations.
  24. Congratulations and prayers sent your way for an easy procedure! I am sure you will do great! Let us know how you feel tomorrow.

    hair loss

My hair stylist noticed the hair loss last weekend when I got my hair done. I noticed the week before, but wanted her to see it to make sure I wasn't just freaking out for no reason. She noticed and I didn't have to call her attention to it. Apparently, she thinks it isn't noticeable but since she's been doing my hair for almost 12 years, it is obvious to her. I am about 3 months post op. I hope it ends soon. I get all my Vitamins, Protein...it just sucks!
